Overall, the work is quite outstanding, the variety (from paintings and sculpture to fabrics and jewellery) is delightful and the welcome is warm. Well worth a visit and you can linger with a cup of tea. BTW when I enquired, I was told that their name, Acanthus, is actually a Mediterranean plant with showy leaves that are often reproduced as decoration for carved wood furniture and Corinthian columns.

Lime Rock is a hidden gem off the country road towards the old base in Limestone. The course and…read moretrees were covered in beautiful snow and the plentiful windows allowed for the perfect view. The decor was very cozy and comfortable. I would have loved a fireplace, but it looks like that area is used for the live music on the weekends. Lime Rock is busier in the day with the snowmobile riders and other visitors, but I appreciated the quiet atmosphere for dinner. We had the Mexican corn dip and maple steak tips, which were both delicious. I have been up in the county for decades and never stopped by the Lime Rock. I am glad that I finally made the trip and hope to see it when the ground is lush and green!
