Meh.
On one hand ... good location. Also, large comfortable rooms. Nice views. Spacious bathrooms (which, after 2 weeks of tiny bathrooms was a nice change).
On the other hand ... they fail at customer service.
Arrived to check in a bit after 2pm. Went upstairs, walked in - and the room was not yet made up from the previous guest.
Forgivable. Stuff happens.
Asked about the hot tub advertised on website. "Oh, we're doing some renovations and it's not available right now."
Annoyed - how hard is it to post something about renovations on the website so guests aren't disappointed? But, ok.
But when we went down for breakfast this morning - smack in the middle of their breakfast hours - there were other issues. They had an American-style coffee pot - I thought "Great! Not as tasty as cappuccino but faster!" So poured a cup. But it was the dregs, it had cooked down, and it tasted bad. Ok, that happens. Figured I'd order my usual cappuccino when a waiter came by. Went to the buffet to get food. Opened the hot food server. Got eggs. Sat down. Went and poached cutlery from a table at the other end of the restaurant since no tables near the buffet were set. Tasted eggs. Stone cold. Went and checked; hot food server was turned off.
Meanwhile, no waiter.
Went and found server, asked for cappuccino. Reported empty coffee pot and cold eggs. Was told "Yes, thank you."
Ate cold eggs and semi-stale croissant. No cappuccino.
Finally got up and went to find waiter again - at no point had ANY waiter come to the part of the room where people were eating! - and was told it's coming.
Cappuccino finally arrived. Not great cappuccino but tolerable.
And they never did anything about the coffee pot or the hot food tray.
Overall - building merits 4 stars but service merits zero. read more
