Around 9pm at night a random person tried to enter our room with a key. (There is no safeguard to stop anyone entering) I sent my husband to the door to confront the person. They ran. I went downstairs to ask what was going on. The person at the front desk said "oops, oh look here is the the 2nd key to your room". They gave out a key to two different people for the same room. No apologies, not to me or the other person. We got no sleep wondering if anyone else had a key to our room or if anyone was going to show up and just open the door with a key given to them by the front desk. I will never stay here again. This is the only time I've ever had someone open my hotel door with a key and say it's their room. The biggest disappointment was that we didn't even get an apology from the front desk. No guarantee that no one else would try to enter our room. Nothing. My husband and I took shifts to guard the door because we didn't know who else may have given a key to our hotel room.

They actually had gluten free oats for those in need which was nice. We paid for the Jacuzzi tub and were a bit disappointed that it barely fit the two of us and kept draining water so we had to have the faucet running the whole time. The free Wifi worked well and they have complimentary Andes mints in the room and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies at the counter. If I'm in Broken Bow again I'd stay here.

I just needed a clean bed and running water for in the morning. third time is a charm, gentleman who answered the buzzer was pleasant and polite despite the hour. he took my vitals and half a buck (plus taxes) and gave me a key to a clean, comfortable room with fresh bedding, three smallish pillows, and a powerful air handler. yea for me!! towels and cloths have plenty of life on them and the appliances are in good working order. also, importantly, this property is across the street from the train tracks so rest easy.

The Big 12 Motel was clean and pet friendly, it met all our needs. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, that means a lot to us. The quality for your money was great! When we come through this area in the future we will stay here again.

Rooms were generally clean and newer carpets were apparent. Place is run by foreign owners but they were nice and polite. Older property and with that come microscopic bathrooms. Oh well, the sink is outside so that is nice. All in all not a bad budget based motel for rural Nebraska. Cafe right across the street and grocery store right next door. Oh yeah, coal trains roll closely by about every 30 mins.

Non smoking rooms, which is always nice. One star off for the lack of amenities and the proximity to the train tracks.
