But if you're looking for the real mid-west experience, that is where you want to be. I came across this town during my roadtrip through the USA in the summer of 2014. Situated on the main street of Ravenna, the Inn is just a minute away from the few local bars and restaurants. Again, nothing fancy, but good food and great drinks. Inn owner Jerry is the nicest person you'll ever meet. He drove me around town in his car, showing the town's sites and introducing me to various local people and businesses. Next morning he took me to the local bakery where we had a nice breakfast. I left Ravenna with nothing but warm feelings for the town and its people.

Around 9pm at night a random person tried to enter our room with a key. (There is no safeguard to stop anyone entering) I sent my husband to the door to confront the person. They ran. I went downstairs to ask what was going on. The person at the front desk said "oops, oh look here is the the 2nd key to your room". They gave out a key to two different people for the same room. No apologies, not to me or the other person. We got no sleep wondering if anyone else had a key to our room or if anyone was going to show up and just open the door with a key given to them by the front desk. I will never stay here again. This is the only time I've ever had someone open my hotel door with a key and say it's their room. The biggest disappointment was that we didn't even get an apology from the front desk. No guarantee that no one else would try to enter our room. Nothing. My husband and I took shifts to guard the door because we didn't know who else may have given a key to our hotel room.

The free Wifi worked well and they have complimentary Andes mints in the room and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies at the counter. If I'm in Broken Bow again I'd stay here.

Our previously booked hotel (shoutout Ramada Inn in Platt) managed to take our money from a non refundable pre booked reservation then sell our room to someone else. Which ok stuff happens. But then they proceeded to be absolute jerks about it lol. So Tyler was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise highly unpleasant evening for us.
