Ice Safety Precautions: Specifically, if you are an expert ice skater, you will be fine but if you are average or a very infrequent ice skater - you need to be very careful. We saw a great deal of falls; including one in our own group that caused serious bone injury to our friend (who is an average ice skater) and had us spending over 7 hours at the local hospital. Specific safety suggestions from our own experience and I would strongly recommend the owners to get a professional safety review done: A. Entrance area from when you enter the park after getting your ticket scan needs to be in better safety shape, including the path from there to the equipment rental B. More medical/trained "Ice Lifeguards" skating throughout the trails and with well marked Jacquets, equipment and/or phone booths where to call them - along with clear instructions on what to do or get when someone has a hard fall - like the many we observed during this return trip C. Areas in front of the lodge where the restrooms are found also needs better on-going care and additional safety rails as you enter the lodge Again, we love the place and are only suggesting these because of our own return experience and because we hope it will continue to be here for many years to come.

Many different skating abilities in show. They have sled chairs you can push for those that want a little support. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are rentals and a snack bar. Not fancy but super fun!
