We would have her with us all day…read moreand on our second day there we left her in the room while we had dinner at a restaurant outside the hotel and left our dog in our room. She is well trained and 6 years old. While we were gone staff came into the room to do the turn down service and left the door open and my dog ran away from the room because it frightened her. The staff weren't able to stop her and let her leave the hotel. I'm not sure if you are aware where the hotel is located but its gated in a not-so-safe area. The hotel staff did not truly look for her. When we arrived back after 2 hours of her being missing they let us know. THEY NEVER CALLED US EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD TWO NUMBERS OF OURS, we would have immediately come back if we knew she was missing. And when we arrived back all they did was tried to blame us for not having her on a leash in the room???? HOW IS THAT PET FRIENDLY? The manager tried yelling at us and tell us we weren't welcome at the hotel.When all our concern was to find our dog. We proceeded to go in our car and look for her in a pretty dangerous part of Acapulco. Thankfully because of the very kind locals we were able to find her after a couple hours, but it was so scary for us because we were desperate to find her. She is like a child to us. The hotel did not help at all. All their(manager) concern was to let us know they have zero liability. The manager is extremely rude and we felt exhibited zero humanity. Never once did we receive an apology and she even let us know we were never welcomed again, and told me when I started crying to "shut up" because I would wake guests. It got to the point guests of the hotel started looking for the dog, and the kindest chef of the hotel got in his car with his son to help us. Everyone you could tell was in shock of how it was being handled. I am still in shock, as someone who considers their dog family, I can't believe the treatment we receive. I want to reiterate we never were called when it happened. If we would have came home later I'm sure we would have never found her. I am so so grateful to all the locals and people who helped and I feel so incredibly lucky to have found her. But I feel it's important to let everyone know because I know many people here have pets. I would recommend strongly if you have a dog and want to take it to the beach/Acapulco do not stay at the Boca Chica. I would also like to note we were iffy about staying here again because on a previous experience( our dog didn't come that time)the manager was extremely classist to a girl who was a caretaker of someone staying there. She told her she couldn't be in the pool and her reason was that she wasn't wearing a proper bathing suit. She has on exercise shorts and tee shirt , most likely because she didn't have a bathing suit. The manager did this in front of everyone at the pool. Luckily the family that employed her stood up for her and even got her a bathing suit so the manager couldn't make it an issue.

The bust didn't show up until 11:30 a.m. They kept extending the the arrival time later and later! This bus was clearly not a select bus, NONE of these amenities were present, and there is no way to ascertain your bus will be!! The bus station is absolutely disgusting! The bathrooms are repugnant and they refuse to make change for the $5 pesos fee to use the restrooms . The little food stands inside look sketchy and they too will refuse to make change for purchasesRIDICULOUS. Yeah, if you use a $100 peso note for a $20 peso purchase they won't make change ‍‍‍

Seriously I've stayed in alot of nice hotels and a lot of crappy ones and this one by far takes the cake. Let's start with breakfast. Breakfast with a view? How about breakfast full of swarming pest, and a view of the ocean? Try a view of none stop purple flowers!!! If you plan on seeing the ocean while you wait for breakfast, plan on standing up to see it. If you plan on eating food...don't! Unless you like it nice and cold, with absolutely zero seasoning, and I do mean ZERO. We were the first two people at the restaurant this morning and it took over an hour plus to get our food. TELL ME HOW DOES IT TAKE OVER AN HOUR PLUS WHEN WE WERE LITERALLY YOUR ONLY GUEST???? Next thing, Our room... Well we got their best room and it includes an infinity pool, extremely gorgeous...too bad you can't actually see the ocean from it though...why do you ask? Purple freaking flowers!!!! ...Why would anyone intentionally advertise this as ocean view if the only way you can see the ocean from literally any spot in this room is if you stand up to see it? Next issue...if you are a female stay away because this room is extremely extremely dark. The only lights is a blue light. We knocked over a glass bc we couldn't see what we were doing. 5 hours later it still wasn't cleaned up. (It's now 1:34am) We asked for lamps...5.5hrs later (currently as I'm writing this) they still haven't brought them up. Wow! I have never seen a hotel that charges over $700/usd per night with this kind of service. This is beyond ridiculous. ...and as if that was enough now the speakers in our room are on full blast with an extreme buzzing sound and there doesn't appear like there is a way to fix it. Stay away! (Bc instead of actually fixing them guess what he just unplugged them so now the tv has no speakers. Priceless. Perfect example of gold star standard I guess ) See photo of our almost 2am visit from maintenence below! I would never come back here even if they paid us. We check out on the 1st to go to Bayan Tree and let me tell you I wish it was tomorrow! NEVER AGAIN. She leaves the door OPEN and completely UNLOCKED. Unbelievable!!! What if someone was a female alone in this room or our passports and valuables were out???? All our stuff could have easily been stolen or worse, someone could have just came right in and done whatever they wanted. This is a foreign country. Unbelievable. Just unfreaking believable!

Clea, pure white sheets,comforter as well as comforter cover. (The Views) 4. Private swimming pools per 2 casitas or one pool & hot tub per "honeymoon" suite. 5. Fresh coffee and pastry items delivered to your own personal cubby hole located in your room. 6. Daily cleaning EVEN if you use a "do not disturb" sign. 7. Large shower with shower condiments. 8. Friendly staff, do not be fooled that they understand everything you say in English even tho they may say they understand you. Many many a miscommunication issue. 9. The Mini Split works extremely well at keeping your room cool or even cold if you choose. 10. Felt safe and very comfortable here. 11. I cannot say it enough but..... THE VIEWS!!!! 12. The sunsets you will experience over the vastness of the ocean from your hotel room deck. 13. Small fridge that works once turned on/up via dial inside of the fridge upper left. 14. Large bottle of water left daily in room. A few tiny cons. 1.My safe battery keep dying and I was unable to get into my room safe two nights in a row even tho my batteries had been changed out twice. 2. I hung the "Do not disturb" sign when I had it & the staff still came in daily, cleaned made the bed, refolded towels ect. 3. We had called to ask about food options, we called a number listed for Hotel Las Brisas and we led to believe it was "all inclusive, food & drink" and to give our credit card right away to lock in a "deal". We obviously did not do this as the reservation had already been made and paid for prior. When checking in we asked about the food and drink "deal" and were told it was a scam. Please be wary as this is an ongoing issue and does not seem to be able to be solved by the organization that runs the real Hotel Las Brisas, as we told this had been going on for years by the front desk staff. 4. No flowers in our pool or bedrooms as shown in the older photos. I would highly recommend coming here.

Legally, at declaration with immigration, you declare cash over $10k and new merchandise worth over $500. We brought 2 new shirts, worth probably $50 for both and we had to pay $1000 pesos!! They were charging some people $2000 pesos when they just had 1 check in carry on with personal used clothes. These people just LOVEEE to steal money for no reason, they did not give me a receipt or anything to document the $1000 pesos I had to pay. It has happened multiple times but this time there was worst service than any other time. If airport is not equipped with staff or professional people, just SHUT THE AIRPORT DOWN PLEASE.

It is also located very close to the beach resorts with nicely paved streets leading out. You'd never know you were landing in one of the top murder cities in Mexico, let alone the world. The sun setting over the bay of Marques is a sight to behold. Situated amongst the less…read moreinternationally touristy areas, this is the alternative to Acapulco, much more affordable, less tourist traps, with all the amenities you could want; a lounging pool, sunbathing areas, showers, a proper swimming pool, and an infinity pool above which overlooks the bay. The hotel also has a cute little tiki bar that serves breakfast & lunch, as well as tropical cocktails at a reasonable price. Comparatively it's more expensive in Acapulco proper for similar drinks. The hotel is situated on the side of a hill, the vantage simply cannot be beaten and you're also not inundated with viewing 100s of resorts littering the beautiful coastline. Oh and the hotel has air conditioning, which can be a godsend in the humidity at night. Cleanliness of the hotel exceeded my expectations, though of course it's not without the charms of tropical afflictions. Mildew being the main culprit here. While it may seem like an off-brand Acapulco, assuredly the sights and price point speaks for itself. Terrazas was about half the price of comparable hotels on the bay of Acapulco. Acapulco itself is just a cab ride away, to those so inclined. While I do think that Acapulco has a better shopping scene and more tourist activities, I was content with wandering the modest strip of Marques, purchasing from local vendors and eating the some of the finest fresh caught seafood I've ever had. If you're envisioning the allure and lustre may be lost staying in Marques instead of Acapulco, having seen and done both, Marques has just as much to offer in terms of sheer beauty... and if a more local flair than the culturally amorphous Acapulco (I'm looking at you too, Cancun and Cabo) suits your fancy, this is an absolute winner.
