He knows exactly what he is doing, and he is there every step of the way. He was willing to do whatever it took for us to have an amazing night. He truly cares about his couples and wants them to have a stress free, fantastic night. When Covid hit, George was very good at letting us know what was going on, and he was very flexible about moving our date with no charge. Despite the new rules, it was still the magical night I always imagined. Jana was our coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing as well. She made sure we didn't have to worry about anything the entire night. If she saw us or our parents without a drink, she made sure to ask if we needed anything. She even jokingly reprimanded me when I tried helping clean up at the end of the night. We had SO many compliments on the food and the GEORGOUS venue. George took advantage of the pandemic lockdown and people postponing their weddings in order to make a beautiful venue 10X more beautiful. The up lights, dance lights and the dry ice fog were amazing. The price George charges is definitely a steal for how beautiful the venue is and the quality of service you get.

The Riverside was a gorgeous venue for both our reception and ceremony, and we were really excited that we got such a great deal on it as a package bundle. I would highly recommend using MEC to host your wedding, as it is a beautiful location in the city and everyone we worked with was on top of things!

They had chairs lined up podium style, but I grabbed a side table on the long bench siding. Perfect! They offered a light snack of popcorn & bubble water. Nice touch. But my favorite by far is the inspirational art in the bathroom. If fired me up! Plus it's a beautiful old building! They have space above Minneapolis' Kado no Mise. Fancy! The Coven is a warm, inviting community & work space for women, non-binary, and trans people. You check in on the first floor greeted by friendly, helpful faces. They are open weekdays 8-8 and have a St Paul space in the works! They have so many interesting topics for speakers just sign up online for one of their many happenings. You can join and be a member. They have conference room and floor rentals for your own event needs! I guess you can do photoshoots there too. Just message them via their website for all of the details.

I've never actually adventured into to the Coliseum to see a show. I can be a bit sensitive to…read moresmells especially when food is involved but one of the newer vegan dishes were located at one the concession stands inside the coliseum. They also have a ton of merch vendors inside as well. While waiting for our food we decided to go see what the inside looks like where they do the shows and there wasn't much going on at the time. One of these years I'll try to catch a show as I guess it's part of the fair experience. You basically just walk in and sit wherever, which is nice. There's entrances and seats everywhere.

We planned our wedding remotely and appreciated that the Van Dusen stands on its own. Unlike many venues, we barely even had to think about additional decorations. The natural elegance of the venue was enough to set the mood and the tone. Bellagala was a professional organization to work with and Monica, the venue lead, was an excellent communicator before, during, and after. All staff we worked with were helpful, positive, and pleasant. Guests especially loved the Carriage House for the live band (5 members, Bluewater Kings Band). The dance floor felt perfectly packed all the time because of its size for our 120-person wedding. The open second floor gave people enough distance while still making people feel part of the action. Booking our venue was our first major step in wedding planning. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of the Van Dusen!
