I visited a lot of antique stores and cute shops in the Eddyville/Cadiz/Paducah areas, but this one is by far my favorite. Robin and her husband, David, own the business. The shop is located just adjacent to their own home. When you arrive you're actually pulling into their large driveway. The outside of the shop is expertly decorated, so I knew we'd be in for a treat. Everything about this place is just cute, even it's size. It is a small shop, but five of us managed to be in there at the same time. They sell everything from vintage items and antiques to newer/modern items, jewelry, tchotchkes, trinkets, wind chimes, souvenirs, homemade jams, salsas, woodworking crafts and they can even personalize signs, coasters, etc. So cool! This would be my #1 place to find gifts if I lived in the area. They have an eye for cool things and the store is laid out beautifully. There is something to look at in every corner--they've maximized their small space, that's for sure! I love how they throw in seasonal touches--right now they have some adorable fall merchandise. Checkout the handmade wooden Candy Corn. Robin and David are extremely talented people. They do sell some of what's in their shop on Etsy. The prices in the shop are very reasonable, though. I left with a dreamcatcher, necklace and a jar of homemade salsa for $20. So wish we had found this place earlier. Eye-catching signage located off the interstate, at the end of the road the shop is located on, and at the end of the owner's driveway. Look for the 'open' sign at the end of the driveway to indicate whether or not they're open for the day. You can't miss it. They sell gift cards, too. The owners are originally from Iowa, so that makes me love this shop that much more. Will make at least an annual trip to The Running Rooster. Highly recommend.

Everything from genuine antiques to more modern/upcycled items. They also sell a small selection of Amish canned goods. Vendors who rent the booth spaces set their own prices and prices are negotiable. There were bargains to be found. Employees can get in touch with the vendor(s) if you want to make an offer on something. Pretty cool! We're still in COVID times and this store wasn't enforcing mask wearing. Employees were not wearing masks, but 99% of customers were.

We happened to drive by later in the day and the shop was open so we stopped in. Antique stores always have a smell, but this place smelled like pure animal pee. There were animals in the room by the office so I guess that makes sense. The shop is packed with a ton of antiques but it's mostly overpriced and it's hard to move around the tight shop. The owner was nice and it pains me to review the shop so poorly, but it is what it is.

My parents recently relocated to a place on lake Barkley. We decided to get out & explore a little. They've got a few little places along highway 62, Vickie's is one of them. All the shops are about the same, they rent out different little booths for people to sell their wares. I would say that about 20-30% of the merchandise is 'new'. The rest is stuff you'd expect to find at a garage sale, swap meet or rummage sale. I wouldn't call these places antique stores. A lot of the used items aren't in great condition & are priced fairly high, maybe with some built in haggle room. The people that I interacted were friendly enough. It's kind of odd to see confederate flags flying around, & I'm originally from Kentucky. It feels like stepping back in the late 80s/early 90s when you look through these old flea markets.

This antique mall is set-up very nicely (don't forget to go upstairs!) and I found it much easier to walk through than some of the other antique stores we've visited this week. The vendors in this mall seem to maintain their booth spaces on a more regular basis, which is nice. My S.O. always had his eye on vintage cameras and there were a lot of them here. Karen (who's a doll, by the way) was the only employee working at the time and was pretty busy wheeling and dealing for the customers. Apparently you can make offers on items here as well and staff can call the seller(s) for you. I left with a NWT (new with tags) fanny pack for my cousin (she collects them) for less than $4 and a couple of plants from a cute booth that someone had. Had this seller offered more plants, I probably would have bought her out. We were in here for about an hour and spent around $12. Masks are required and there's a big bottle of hand sanitizer available when you walk it. By far our favorite antique store on Broadway in downtown Paducah. Recommend.

The owner, Priska, is the heartbeat of this wonderful vintage/antique store. Priska is so friendly and knowledgeable. What an impressive selection of items! I've been to many antique shops, but the Victorian Parlor has more variety and "good stuff" than anywhere I've ever been in the U. S. One could get lost for hours in this store. It's a glorious trip back in time! The Victorian Parlor is located in lovely quaint downtown Paducah. The store was once a Western Union office. The flooring and walls bear evidence of this! I would happily return to Paducah and The Victorian Parlor anytime. And hope I get a chance to do that soon! You should go!
