They are the worst with kids. I have had my family membership for 4 years, and I have never really used it because of this happening before. I only got it for the kids' classes (which many are not included in). Recently, I went there, and a member of the staff named Heather started creating and enforcing rules (not posted anywhere) to a 5yo and an 8 yo kids. Asked for somebody to call me back, because that's what they told me they were going to do, but they never did. I am not mad or disappointed with them, but it keeps happening. At this point, I have to cancel the membership because this is not the first time something like this has happened, and because it hasn't been handled well at all. The Y needs early morning classes for us working people! By 9am I have already been to work for 1 hour!

Love the YMCA. The swimming and deep water exercise has had a great impact on my health and others. The staff are amazing and helpful. The programs they offer are always very interesting. And the community life there is astounding. I'm grateful to be a member. read more

Kind of disappointed in being new and trying to get a class. The ymca where I used to live seemed friendlier. You have to pay by the month for each class. I was used to 6-8 session of classes and they offered make up classes when you missed one. Here no not the case no makeups are offered. Depending on the month if you get 4 or 5 weeks in. I got the program book we went over it and prices then when I signed up the prices were higher. All I got was sorry I guess our books aren't up to date. These are the new prices. I am trying to budget plan and that is kind of not fair. I really don't like the way they run these programs at this rate. So I will look elsewhere to do lessons for my kids. read more

This is a beautiful facility. Very clean, inviting, brightly-lit, and well-priced for an annual membership. I primarily use the gym and sauna. The workout area and equipment are kept in good order; the sauna is quite relaxing. Not an intimidating environment in the slightest--everyone is welcome! The staff is extremely friendly/nice. I already treat this like a second home and I've only been working out here for a month. I definitely recommend it! read more

Beware of closing out your account, especially ,when they give directions on how to close your account. We were hold members for some time trying to decide our next step. They called us to make sure if we still wanted the account and instructed us how to cancel, so no other drafts would happen. Very disappointed on how it was handled. Would never recommend this facility to anyone. read more

Gorgeous facility. The weight room has every conceivable machine and is totally clean. The pool is big and beautiful, and even when the swim team came in, one lane was kept open for swimmers. I'm also pretty obsessed with the deluxe spa. Best of all, my spouse and I received partial financial assistance on our membership, making it affordable for our budget. Neva, the director, made us feel welcome right away and gave us an in-depth tour of the gym. Coming from the crowded, old YMCAs of California, we are delighted to work out here. Love this place. My family has been using this facility for over a year, and highly recommend this location. The front desk check in is easy, fast, and friendly. The locker room is very clean. The (mens) sauna is almost always warm (140f above) and working. Enjoy the free weights, TRX, rower. Most of the time it's never very crowded. Great basketball courts. read more

Lap swimming pool at the new, main location (West location on Silver Lake road) is quite nice and very family friendly. It does get crowded when the Master's Swim team is there, so I just check the schedule and try to avoid those times. The original old location (South) off of Airport near Logan's landing is where they have group sports, tennis courts and pickle ball. They do have a very old and icky gym there, but you can do better at one of the other locations. The Central Y is at the Civic Center near NMC where they have a small, but adequate gym, and another pool with 6 lanes [this pool is scheduled to be refurbished in the near future, so check to make sure it is open if you need to do lap swim]). They have also recently added the new high intensity interval classes called Y-zone at Central Y. Totally worth the add-on cost of $7 for the 30 minute class or $10 for the 60 minute class. They use the Mind-body app to register for these classes. Overall, really good organization. read more

Nice facility but the weight room is lacking. If you squat over 2 plates I don't recommend this gym. the squat rack it's not bolted to the ground and if you rack anything over 2 plates it comes off the ground. Huge safety risk. But otherwise a nice place. read more
