Giovanni and Isabella are third generation and their family has been in the Bellagio and Lake Como region since 1910. That kind of longevity speaks for itself but let me add that rarely have I been treated so well by any sales staff anywhere in the world. They were patient and kind, funny and relaxed and let me come to the decision on my own without becoming frustrated at me. Thank you so much. After two uses the green coating started to wear and the base leather show through. I contacted Stefano at the shop who totally dismissed my issues and said I'd left it soaking in water which was completely outrageous given I spent a huge amount of money! He tried to sell my another bag but refused to acknowledge any problem. I am left with an expensive bag which cannot be restored without significant cost. This is an outdoor bag which should be resilient and strong enough to cope with weather conditions not something for display in a glass case. I bought an Italian product assuming quality and got a very poorly manufactured item rubbish quality and a complete rip off. No acknowledgement of customer issues and no customer service. If you are looking to buy proper Italian craftsmanship look elsewhere.

It has been founded and managed since 1855 by the Tacchi Family. They specialize in various hand-carved wood items, including a very unique olive wood dish that I purchased. The selection is extensive and I thought that the floor view port (to some historical thing I'm guessing) and the wood working shop in back were pretty cool. The Family member helping me didn't win any awards for engagement, although Gayle thought he warmed up a bit as time went on. At the same time, he gave me some good tips on taking care of my piece and wrapped it for its home journey really well.
