The decor is simply elegant and beautiful. We were in room 4, with a view of the downtown. We had a glass of wine and just took in the scenery. SSBB is located next door to the wonderful restaurant "The Loft", so it's very convenient to walk downstairs, have a great dinner and enjoy the downtown scene. Breakfast from SSBB Bakery is complimentary with your stay. The bakery is closed on Sunday mornings, but hubby and I were left some wonderful pastries the night of our arrival. From the high ceilings to the immaculate hardwood floors, you have to ask.... why even bother to stay in a hotel when you can stay in a beautiful condo for the same price. Whenever I'm in Laurel, this will be the only place that I stay. Oh forgot to mention, it was extremely cleaned and well stocked with all the kitchen supplies you need including coffee!!!!

Cobwebs, dirty furniture & pillows, clutter - the veranda would be a lovely place to relax if it were cleaned up. The pics online were obviously not taken recently. The location can't be beat - across the street from the Lauren Rogers Museum (which is fantastic) and walking distance to downtown. We stayed 3 nights (which we were charged for immediately upon arrival) and had to ask for more towels. No service was offered for our room - trash collection, bed service, towels, etc. At $170/night I was a bit disappointed.

Every detail, from door knobs to furnishings, have been thoughtfully installed and placed to whisk you back to the turn of the 20th century. Magnificent wood work throughout with spacious halls and tall ceilings set the mood of the original Architect's intent - elegant charm! The hosts, Gerry and Jenny, did a wonderful job from start to finish! From communication via email, to welcoming us at the front steps, giving us a tour of the home and setting the historical stage, to waiting on us at amazing breakfasts!
