They're nice and make the experience ten times better. I'm diabetic so I wasn't sure if there would be anything for me but there was! Like a HUGE selection of sugar free candy! And they're always having sales. I got a TON of candy for like $40. I mean, a ton! The candy is delicious and I live like almost an hour away and will absolutely drive there for their candy. They also have ice cream and fudge. Haven't tried that yet. Also sign up for their discounts online. There are carts and yes, grab one. They have their sale items in the back of the store and so worth it! I highly recommend this place for any kind of candy craving.

For several years, I have shopped at this store off and on. During my most recent visit in mid-February, I saw many boxes of chocolates for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day, and they were priced at 50% off. Of course, I also saw many regularly priced boxes of in-season chocolates. These chocolates were available in dark, milk, and white and had fillings such as creams (e.g., butter, coconut, orange, raspberry, strawberry, and vanilla), nuts (e.g., almond, cashew, peanut, pecan, and walnut), and many others (e.g., brownie, caramel, toffee, and white-chocolate truffle). Some flavors were sugar-free. I also saw other sweet treats such as gourmet caramel apples, hard candies, gummy candies, fudges, chocolate-covered strawberries and pretzels, and ice creams. My favorite product to buy is the 3-pound box of "bloopers" chocolates. Compared to a few years ago, the price for the bloopers has increased. I now paid $28 for two 3-pound boxes, which is still a bargain. One employee gave my husband and me a free sample of milk chocolate, and she promptly and politely rang up our purchase and thanked us. When we got home, I opened the boxes and saw a mixture of dark and milk chocolates. I have not yet eaten all of them, but the boxes appear to include a variety of flavors. The bloopers are misshapen, too big, too small, or stuck together. They still taste good!

I'm not a vegetarian, but the goal of the company is to creative vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike can enjoy. The have achieved that goal!! Their products are outstanding. I've tried all three of their strips: seitan, soy, and shiitake mushroom, but haven't yet tried all 6 flavors. I have tried the mesquite lime (favorite), hickory smoked, and hot n' spicy (still need to try Teriyaki, Texas BBQ and Thai Peanut). I buy them at Harvest House in Concord; they're also sold at Whole Foods. The company's website is very easy to navigate and I'd highly recommend you find the store nearest you and grab a few. (About $1.50 each) Have a special vegan friend in your life? This would be a terrific gift idea! Or send them for no reason at all: "just because"! Surprise presents in the mail are always fun. I sent some to my veggie cousin in Washington and she and her husband approve! Your loved one will too! :)

So much better than the Jack Links brand of jerky because it doesn't have the nausea-inducing nostalgia of the countless road trips I took with my family as a kid. Not to mention it hurt my gums...
