When entering the candy shop, you may be given a bag or metal bin to choose candy. The candy is primarily sold and weighed by the pound. You are able to pick and mix the candy in your bin whether you like dark chocolate, milk chocolate, caramels, maples, chocolate with pretzels etc. If you have friends and loved ones out of town, Heggys does have the option to have your chocolates mailed from their location across the country. A great idea for any occasion. People love their Heggys Chocolate and nuts Candy by the pound is around $15.50. There is also a nut counter with mixed nuts, pecans, hazelnuts, cashews and more. Behind the counter, workers work diligently individually wrapping various chocolates and caramels with each day being different candies for the week wrapped. A few of my personal favorites: milk chocolate marshmallows and the milk chocolate maple cremes. During Easter time, there will be an assortment of solid milk chocolate bunnies and crosses. However, don't wait until the last minute or else your favorite size may be gone.

They're nice and make the experience ten times better. I'm diabetic so I wasn't sure if there would be anything for me but there was! Like a HUGE selection of sugar free candy! And they're always having sales. I got a TON of candy for like $40. I mean, a ton! The candy is delicious and I live like almost an hour away and will absolutely drive there for their candy. They also have ice cream and fudge. Haven't tried that yet. Also sign up for their discounts online. There are carts and yes, grab one. They have their sale items in the back of the store and so worth it! I highly recommend this place for any kind of candy craving.

For several years, I have shopped at this store off and on. During my most recent visit in mid-February, I saw many boxes of chocolates for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day, and they were priced at 50% off. Of course, I also saw many regularly priced boxes of in-season chocolates. These chocolates were available in dark, milk, and white and had fillings such as creams (e.g., butter, coconut, orange, raspberry, strawberry, and vanilla), nuts (e.g., almond, cashew, peanut, pecan, and walnut), and many others (e.g., brownie, caramel, toffee, and white-chocolate truffle). Some flavors were sugar-free. I also saw other sweet treats such as gourmet caramel apples, hard candies, gummy candies, fudges, chocolate-covered strawberries and pretzels, and ice creams. My favorite product to buy is the 3-pound box of "bloopers" chocolates. Compared to a few years ago, the price for the bloopers has increased. I now paid $28 for two 3-pound boxes, which is still a bargain. One employee gave my husband and me a free sample of milk chocolate, and she promptly and politely rang up our purchase and thanked us. When we got home, I opened the boxes and saw a mixture of dark and milk chocolates. I have not yet eaten all of them, but the boxes appear to include a variety of flavors. The bloopers are misshapen, too big, too small, or stuck together. They still taste good!

I loved the creativity - from smores to emojis, to candy trays and peanut butter cups, there is something for everyone! The chocolate covered nutter butter was fantastic, and now every time I drive by, I have to talk myself out of stopping for one. Candy, candy, candy!…read more I think it's great when a town has a place that makes their own sweets. But that's not all they do here. They are a fully functioning candy store. Set up kind of like one of those in a mall, but better. Of course I had myself a bag and filled it with all the essential candy one may chew on. Sour patch kids, chewy Sprees, gummy worms, Swedish fish, and the list goes on and on. They also have packages of candy too. No need to mix and match if that's not your thing. They make their own chocolates, and the display case inside was filled with very delightful items. I was tempted to ask for one of each, but I was able to keep myself in check. There are already packaged chocolates so you can just grab and go. If you want a certain mix of chocolates they are more than happy to oblige.
