The economy as well as new owners, has also made portion sizes smaller (a $3 French fry is now smaller than a small at a typical fast food joint) and the prices have also increased. Ten dollar burgers are standard most places now, but over $15 for a burger meal at a drive thru stand may be hard for some patrons to swallow. The custard and soft serve is delicious, albeit, still not a cheap treat. The staff is always efficient and friendly. The inside appears clean and orderly. The outdoor seating area and the appearance is charming, while still maintaining the old school vibes and nostalgia we all love about the Brown House. It's not an inexpensive meal, but the quality is good, service is consistent, and they still include the peppermint in your sack to round off your meal.

We had only been there maybe 20 minutes when we were given the bill, I asked for change back and the server looked confused and opened it up and counted it in front of me which felt rude. Felt rushed even though all the tables around us had been there before we arrived. Staff was standing near by watching closely. Just an awkward experience all around. Food was mostly good, appreciated the variety but wish we had felt comfortable to actually enjoy it.
