Because everyone is calling, you're left just calling back - which takes time and can easily run into 50, 60 calls. Also, they don't allow you to order a repeat prescription by phone. So, you've got to go to the surgery, which takes time, wait 48h for the script to be prepared and then go back and collect it, which is just a bit backwards when a call could save a journey and hours of time. I came back the next week on Wednesday, having booked the morning off work and spent money to get up there to find out that I can't get my blood test done because whoever takes it is off work for another 8 days. I felt angry at the incompetence of staff who could have let me know this beforehand!
