There are several different rooms for different ages of children, with new decoration and toys. There is also a safe and padded area outside where the little tykes can enjoy the sunshine. Also, there is an emphasis on music and dance, and giving children the opportunity to express themselves in different ways. The staff here are very lovely, and all have a very genuine interest in the well-being of the children. Although I'm not a parent myself, I've been inside this nursery and have heard nothing but good things about it.

Having seen first hand just how demanding a toddler can be, I can't express my admiration highly enough for the brave souls who go into full time childcare. His little bundle of joy is always well looked after, and her face lights up when we take her there - in fact, sometimes (despite our best efforts) we get the feeling she has more fun there than anywhere else. Being a working parent can be a tough deal, so knowing your beloved offspring are being well-cared for during office hours is invaluable. You don't just have to take my word for it though - this nursery won the prestigious NDNA (National Day Nurseries Association) Welsh Nursery of the Year 2010 award. Catering from ten-week to five year-olds, the nursery is open to the children Cardiff University staff and students - and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Based in a scout hut in Pontcanna fields it provides after school facilities until 6pm for children whose parents cannot meet them straight from school. They operate a fleet of mini buses which collect from schools in the Llandaff /Canton/ Pontcanna areas of the city. The staff running the club are very friendly and supervision is of a high standard. The club offers a wide range of arts, crafts, and sporting activities as well as providing a large supply of toys and a pool table. The children are also provided with a snack and drink.

Little Keypers school holiday options at the Scout Hut in Pontcanna Fields are fabulous. The children bring their own lunch if you opt for all-day but a healthy snack mid-morning and afternoon is provided. They accept childcare vouchers which makes this even better. And the children seem to love it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating (and have an amazing memory for names) and I can only hope they continue until the 8-year old has turned into a teenager.
Peter Lea Nursery in Fairwater, Cardiff is part of the Peter Lea Primary School. It has both a.m…read more and p.m. sessions and children attend 5 sessions a week either mornings or afternoons. There are two Teachers in Charge of Nursery aswell as Teaching Assistants. It is a large nursery with main play areas, quiet room, kitchen etc and a lovely enclosed safe garden for the children to play. The children are well looked after and are encouraged to interact and learn new things. Each term has a theme for new things to learn, and activities are based around that. Children are encouraged to learn a few words of Welsh and song time involves all the favourite nursery rhymes in both Welsh and English. Two of my children have attended this nursery and thoroughly enjoy their time there, coming home at the end of session extremely excited about that day's activites. Overall a fabulous nursery and recommended to anyone in the area.
