The fried chicken is moist, fresh, crispy, perfectly seasoned and they have actual veggie sides as well as hot desserts and so much more. I have trouble eating chicken from most places because off previous surgery I had and the chicken here is so moist I always enjoy itt with no issues. Fast and friendly. A country market at its finest. Right next door to the cannery my friends and I were canning tomatoes at, we popped over to granny b's for an early lunch while the cans were cooking in their water bath. The smell of fried chicken wafting outride before even entering the place was amazing, and we walked in to see a full tray of freshly fried chicken and a large assortment of other country sides: Mac and cheese, fried squash and onions, broccoli and cheese, potato wedges, baked beans, and more I can't remember! Plus they had corn dogs and a bunch of different kinds of breakfast sandwiches. There were three women behind the counter busy with prepping and cooking more food to keep their trays filled; this place must be hopping any day of the week. We heard they start frying chicken when they open at 6am and fry until closing, that's how popular it is. We got a plate of fried chicken and sides to share around and I also went ahead and got the steak and egg breakfast biscuit because it looked so good. It was all enjoyed by us at the table inside the market, which is hospitable outfitted like your table at home might be, with salt pepper, condiments and hot sauce. The sandwich was big and good, and the fried chicken was steaming hot, juicy, tender and with a perfect layer of super crispy, but not too thick, skin. Mmmm There was a large selection of beer and sodas plus your usual accoutrement of ofds and ends and typical groceries carried at a country market. Definitely worth stopping in to Granny b's for some fried chicken if you're in the area, or at the cannery next door, or heck, even go out of your way to experience old fashioned, southern cooking, and some bomb fried chicken. read more

First and foremost if you give Granny B's anything less than five stars I will hunt you down and punch you in the eye!!! The absolute best moist tasting fried chicken a southern boy has ever had... Unassuming in location in stature and overwhelming and taste and flavor!! I am sure that a yelp elite will come and find quarrel with something at this Road Side Chickenshack!! The two working there was so nasty and rude. The man in front of me got a medium size Texas hash, so I asked for a large and mine was in the same size container and I was charged more. Will never go in there again. I feel like I got screwed and cheated out of my money. Watch them people. read more

Great little supermarket with the best fried chicken you can find! Went there today for fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. Totally off of the beaten path. A favorite of locals and college students. Don't go here if you are trying to diet. The food is plentiful and made with love. Corn dogs are offered as a side item! Beer and sodas are plentiful in the cooler. They also have an incredible selection of sandwiches and cold salads like tuna, chicken, watergate and other daily specials. Case of doughnuts and apple fritters next to the cash register do not go unnoticed as you check out. The people who work here are nice and greet you when you walk in the door.
