This district runs an online school called iForward Wisconsin…read more They seem to use the funds from that school to help pay for things at the regular brick and mortar school. They have mis managed the online school and students are paying for that. They have had 4 owners in 3 years and the administration does not care about the students or if they graduate on time. They only care about the money each student brings in. The website looks great and makes a lot of promises, but they are all lies. They have lost most of the quality teachers they did have and the ones who are left are severely underpaid and over worked. It is a toxic environment for students and teachers. They run on a quarter system as well. This means instead of having 18 weeks ( a semester ) to do your work in a course you get 9 weeks to do the same amount of work you normally would have 18 weeks to do. They may make it sound flexible but it is not. They will mark you truant if you miss the live lessons in classes that are held every single day and being truant a few times allows them to kick you out of the school and send you back to your old school. I know many Seniors who because of mistakes made by the school as far as courses or credits are going to graduate late. They did the work and passed the classes but the school messed something up and they now will pay for that by not graduating on time. There are no credit recovery options at this school and they do not allow you to test out of a course you already had elsewhere if they deny those credits, which they often do when a student transfers in from another school or homeschooling.. I am a 4.0 GPA but have been here for 2 years longer than I should have because of those issues. I came to this school to take advanced courses but instead ended up doing most of them on my own , being denied books, having courses that did not work and having to file formal complaints to try to get what I needed. I get all A's if it is that hard for me then imagine the issues facing students who do not do as well in their courses or who do not have the same support at home I do.. I have also encountered a negative image about this school going out into the community. Other online schools like Connections etc.. are well received in my experience from schools and the community. My experience has not been that with this school in fact its been negative both at prospective schools and the community. It seems the school is forming a negative reputation in those areas. I think they had a good opportunity when they changed this school to iForward to make this a positive place for students to learn and teachers to work. Unfortunately they did not make the needed changes to the administration and the issues that were there in the past continue to pollute the environment and make this a negative place to get an education. Of course this is just my opinion.. but feel free to contact me as I can provide you statements from many other families who feel the same way. Do yourself a favor and Find another school! I am a current student who learned that lesson the hard way...

As a staff member, I feel it's important to share an honest perspective on the current state of…read moreDavinci Academy. Unfortunately, my experience has been overwhelmingly negative due to poor leadership, lack of professionalism, and an unsafe school environment. Leadership & Administration: Principal Emily Eggers is extremely unprofessional and frequently yells at staff. She has publicly called staff "backstabbers" for communicating concerns to district-level administrators and often labels teachers as unprofessional without ever observing their classrooms. It's also concerning that she has minimal in-person classroom experience, having only taught in an online setting before becoming principal. The new Dean of Students contributes to the toxic atmosphere. He seems to enjoy the authority that comes with his position but speaks negatively about teachers behind their backs, which damages morale and trust among staff. The administrative team as a whole is often absent from the building -- they're typically on site only about 50% of the time -- leaving little accountability or visible leadership. Teaching & Instruction: Instructional leadership is outdated and resistant to change. The ELA lead teacher refuses to adapt teaching methods or differentiate instruction for students with varying needs. The math department has turned over completely for the second year in a row. Last year's teachers were all fired, and the new hires this year are struggling just as much. It's extremely concerning that the school can't seem to retain qualified math teachers year after year. Several teachers are not fully licensed in their assigned subject areas. The RTI teacher, PE teacher, and tech teacher lack proper certifications, and only one of the special education teachers is fully licensed. This creates a serious problem in ensuring quality instruction and legal compliance. School Environment & Student Behavior: Student behavior is a major issue. There is frequent fighting, constant swearing, and open use of racial slurs like the N-word. These incidents are rarely handled appropriately or effectively. The administration tends to ignore or downplay discipline problems, which makes the environment unsafe for both staff and students. Overall Culture: The culture of the school is toxic, unprofessional, and unstable. Staff turnover is high, morale is extremely low, and there is very little support for teachers. Leadership fails to model professionalism or create a safe and supportive atmosphere for learning. At this point, I would not recommend Davinci Academy especially the middle school to potential staff, students, or families. Until there is a complete overhaul of leadership and a serious focus on student behavior and staff support, this school will continue to struggle.

No apology, no saying it wont happen again.. nothing. When things happened at school I was not notified I was only told by my son. I had to reach out in order to hear the schools side. For teachers to be saying "Idiot, stupid, white boy, dirty, learn to clean your clothes, I cant wait until you graduate, I hate you, you are a worthless human being ect and have no consequences is just crazy to me. No sports here either. There are a few great teachers but I would rather by son feel safe in class rather then just waiting for more name calling and bullying by the staff.
