I see many health code violations, diapers in pools, dirty locker rooms/ bathrooms, mold on the deck, and I walked by as a kid was opening a filter and it was appalled. the pool seems understaffed and unprepared for an emergency as their rescue tubes are rubbing red paint onto the guard chairs. there is grass growing on the deck as well as many other concerning sights. do better twin hills.

Not sure if their holding hot box did not hold proper temperature but all hot food came out lukewarm. The duck with parsnip purer was mediocre at best . The duck was not browned off enough and came out warm . Parsnip puree was excellent flavor but also cold . The vichyssoise soup was very lite to no leeks at all . Thank god it was served cold like it was supposed to be . The pollack was supposed to be halibut filet but we received some other mystery fish that was non digestible . It did have a very nice thermadore sauce that was on point . Again, it was all served cold with some rice pilaf that was NOT pilaf and 3 haricot vert beans that were peeled . Then the salad , it arrived cold as it should have Belgium Endive filled with blue cheese . The frisée did not help the dish along with the raspberry coulis , it was a raspberry coulis . Several components missing . The salad needed work . Then came the petite Filet Mignon ( cold) with an instant red sauce reduction of some sort that was cheated , baby carrots were good but cold & the French cut potato -all cold . The lemon sorbet was good , topped with a fresh raspberry with a brown sugar crust on the rim . The dessert course was vanilla ice cream with a pignoli tart . The icream of good quality creamy , tart was a bit dry and looking for the pignoli nuts . This was supposed to be a French Dining experience honor the father of cookery - George August Escoffier. Wine was paired with each course - some were winners and others were mediocre at best . Service was excellent , cocktail hour was on the money , the selection of seafood on ice was a winner , carving station of veal loin , pork loin with choice of sauces was very well executed . The passed horduurves were all very well done . The Italian charcuterie of cold cuts and cheeses were very good and displayed nicely . The gulf shrimp were perfect size and peeled - U-15 shrimp are always a home run . I don't do oysters - too much risk involved in oyster consumption. Please bring a flashlight as the parking lot at night has NO LGHTS . Good luck finding your car . Recommend going back and giving them a second chance. It is a hidden gem .

It's fairly convenient, and more or less equidistant between my place and one of my friends who I play with reasonably often (and who is MUCH better than me...). My last round here was 7/23/2021, and if you're reading this review the same year that I wrote it (2021), you'll likely remember that it rained almost every day for several weeks. Suffice it to say, everything is VERY lush and green this year. The greens were irritatingly slow still, leaving oh so many putts coming up short due to my inability to adjust, but I must say it was refreshing to have what I'd consider an average course have almost zero heavily worn-in or sunburnt spots. I think I moved the ball once all 18 due to a poor lie from lack of growth, and one other time due to it being too muddy and not wanting to risk my new shoes. In terms of the course design and layout, I do have to admit that there aren't many holes that I'd consider memorable. Not much in terms of elevation change or ponds, and sand traps are rarely a challenge (and almost none that aren't right by a green). Overall I think the front nine is more fun, but the back nine is also narrower and more wooded, so it's a little more challenging to keep it in play. The layout also notable requires little walking between holes and zero unnecessary backtracking, so it's very walkable, but if all else fails they have carts that function just fine as well. I can't comment on the food, as I've never had any here. At most I'm usually looking for a quick hot dog at the turn, or maybe a couple drinks during or after the round. Somewhat agreed with one reviewer from a few years ago that the pricing is a few dollars too steep, but it's on par with (ugh, that was unintentional, I swear, but I'm going to leave it) and in some cases less than the other comparable courses nearby (e.g. Topstone, Twin Hills), and a few dollars isn't going to buy my gas and time to go much further. There's admittedly some others slightly further away that are cheaper (e.g. Ledges or maybe St. Anne?), but as a pseudo local they aren't a better overall investment of my time and gas money. Overall, would I go out of my way for this course? Probably not. I'd consider it a very viable option for the 30-minute radius crowd, however, and a fairly viable option for those slightly further away looking to mix it up. Maybe mix it into your rotation if you haven't yet.

I'll summarize it all as an overview for any potential member scouring Yelp for good country club reviews in the area - - Tennis - Traditional clay-type surface that you will have to sweep after you use it, but there are never lines to play. I honestly haven't been down in that area for some time now, but I believe there are 3 (maybe 4) courts to use, surrounded by trees so there is always a lot of shade available. There is also a little tennis building (shed-sized) that has A/C and water, mostly utilized during tennis lessons. Pool - Not quite Olympic sized but pretty close, dedicated areas for laps, and a 10ft deep end/diving board area. The pool itself is well-maintained but was definitely put in some time ago. Concrete(ish) bottom with horizontal tiling to mark lane areas. Dining - Three dining rooms, one is off the bar (usually frequented by golfers) and one large enough to hold weddings / events. The food has had its ups and downs over the years but is (and has been for at least the last 5+ years) on a significant up, I have yet to consume a bad meal, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, in as long as I can remember. Golf - Since this is where I spend most of my time, this is where I am most critical. I love the course, the 18 holes are a nice mix of challenging and easy holes, and are consistently updated and maintained so to always be in great condition. The driving range is always in use, and the pro shop has several knowledgeable pros that will help you even without appointment. There are 3 practice areas in addition to the driving range, two strictly chipping/putting greens and one with sand traps to practice out of. There is a food pavilion off one of the putting greens, usually grilling on the weekends in the spring, summer, and fall. I'm sure there are some things that I missed, but those are the biggies. Overall, this is a great place to join if you are looking for a club with good food and good golf, with a more "exclusive yet community" feel to it.

The holes are easy to find, although the leaves in the fall are a problem when it comes to losing balls. The only downside is the carts and the cart paths.
