The employees are friendly and helpful. I was looking for a wedding dress last year for cosplay. Asked the west end and got some crank who informed me they are part of the Halloween stuff and refused to look (I was looking for outdated/can be stained). Asked the Heights front desk and they said let me look in back for you. I ended up getting one from the downtown store (Heights didn't have one) who also went in back to look.

Montana Vintage Clothing could be a goldmine, but unfortunately it's run by a passive-aggressive,…read moregrey-haired woman who fat-shames customers under the pretense of "taking your measurements to match you to the right fits." When I found a pair of cute shorts and asked to try them on she said she'd have to "measure me first." I politely declined, assuming it was an optional service, to which she further informed me, it was not. Then things got weird. Because the shorts were cute (and cheap), I begrudgingly let her measure my waist. To which she said "ohh, they're too small," and put them back on the rack (they were actually my size) When I said I'd like to try them anyway, she smugly told me I could purchase them, but I still wasn't allowed to try them on. It was hands down the weirdest, most invasive, and humiliating shopping experience I've had. And it explains why the store is bursting at the seams with clothing. I doubt anyone actually buys anything after being treated like that. If you enjoy unsolicited body commentary and being size-policed over $20 vintage shorts, this place is for you. Otherwise, run. And a tip for the owner: If you want to run a 'by fitting only' boutique, then run a proper by-appointment fitting room where you pull sizes for people instead of wasting their time and humiliating them. Vintage isn't supposed to come with a side of shame.

Twice as Nice Consignment falls into the "nice" portion of its name…read more It has a mix of things typical of a consignment shop: clothing, shoes (even some new ones), jewelry, accessories and of the things I saw, all were reasonably priced. The tags are easy to read, dated by when the item came into the shop, and anything over 90 days is on sale half-off the ticket price. The racks are sorted by item and then by sizes. Twice as nice makes it as easy as possible to find things. I didn't see anything in the designer/high-end category, but I imagine if there were, those items would go quickly. Despite that, there are nice pieces, gently worn. Like most shops of this kind, it can be hit or miss on locating something, but it's still fun to explore. It's not too big to be overwhelming and not so small as to be overlooked. Twice as nice accepts items for consignment as well, so it works both for offloading things in your closet and picking up some new pieces to add back.

I apologized, but he started yelling at me and continued to follow me and my family through the store and berate us. At one point my mother put her hand slightly up and told him "we get it, we understand," and that is when he started to get aggressive, started yelling even more loudly at us, and he put his hand aggressively in my face. I did not feel safe, and I told him "we are happy to leave" and my family and I left as he continued to become more agitated. It was actually very shocking, uncomfortable, and disappointing. I would not recommend any woman shop in this store, alone or with others, and that any men who respect women not shop here either.

Tonight at the north 27th street store in billings Montana, unfortunately witnessed an altercation…read moretonight 01-23-2025 between 3 young ladies at the north 27th street store in billings montana. I am not certain exactly the problem but what I did notice was the humiliating nature of the shouting in which these ladies were engaged in. One of the females was accusing each the other of having a foul odor. Then I heard the young lady who was being targeted defendnherselfnand it all but broke my soul. Apparently shes is going through cancer treatment and if you have half a brain you'd know that these treatment often cause an individual to sometimes emit a foul odor which is absolutely not their fault and should never be persecuted for such a thing can you imagine going through cancer and having to go through these treatments and having absolutely no way to combat such humiliating side effects and not even your own fellow female colleagues have your back. Shame on you two ladies for treating her that way. The blonde gal was witness to it as well but took satisfaction in being just senselessly nasty to the gal with cancer. I am appalled and embarrassed for everyone involved in this encounter. I hope everyone takes a moment to think of how they could have contributed in more of a positive way to this situation. We're women we're not idiots conduct yourselves accordingly! The way that you show your own self-respect to the rest of the world is by treating the rest of the world with respect.
