Thankfully I made the choice to enter treatment after realizing I could not fight and defeat the disease of alcoholism alone. Beginnings Treatment Center was my first experience in any type of treatment. Early on I felt completely overwhelmed, I was naive and unaware of the complexity of this disease and the amount of work it would require of me; but the staff at Beginnings tactfully presented the steps of recovery in a way that was encouraging, positive and manageable. The staff was not only very supportive and knowledgable but many were former addicts that could relate to my past and what I was currently experiencing. I found this to be extremely beneficial. I felt at ease when sharing my situation with the Beginnings Treatment staff. My questions or concerns were always met with actionable and genuine responses based on actually experiences--- no theories or speculation involved here. After completing my second week in treatment I truly felt like I was part of a family with both staff and clients. I began to notice improvement, both mentally and physically. I no longer felt confused or overwhelmed --- experiencing the feeling of true progress gave me hope and motivation to take all I could from Beginnings Treatment. I will be 90 days sober next week (more time in over 20 years!) and although I know there is still work to be done, the experience and knowledge I gained at Beginnings Treatment helped me build a foundation that is invaluable for my future growth. The admissions lie to so many people…read moreabout the facility and the amount of freedom you have, and once you're there they make it near impossible to leave. This is why they recruit from out of state, so people feel stuck. Jerney doesn't care about the clients in any way and calls ADULT'S parents and family members to manipulate them into staying for money, telling them abusive and incorrect things about them. There's no respect for the clients at this facility. "We care about you" may be true for some lower level staff members but everything is "out of their control". Disgusting facility that will threaten their clients when they are unsatisfied and obsessed with extending stays even if the client doesn't consent. There's no choices at Ocean Hills. DO NOT GO HERE. Staff falling asleep on night shift for long periods. If you show them the handbook the techs won't abide by the rules, they won't allow you to contact corporate because of their ignorance on the job. So many more issues but these are the biggest.

Their…read moreemployee who picked me up from the airport was (allegedly) hitting a dab pen and took me to what I was told over the phone would be a "thorough intake process" was really a breathalyzer and UA. The person doing my "intake" asked me which program I was here for - I told him nobody told me and shouldn't he know?? The admissions person I spoke with over the phone said I would have "chef made meals". I was dropped off at a Vons with a $75 gift card to buy groceries for the week. As someone with a dual diagnosis, this was incredibly misleading and resulted in me not eating for 24 hours. The same admissions person said "the home i would be in would have shared rooms, but plenty of bathrooms". I arrived to the house which had 1 bathroom shared among 7 women. Sadly my time here only lasted 18 hours due to the fact that what was described to me over the phone was the exact opposite of what i walked into. Don't waste your time here. "House manager" or any WWR employee was not at the home I was assigned to when I arrived. It was 4 hours later that she showed up and was using her vape as a pointer while showing me the house rules. Not a single person here was professional or helpful - they just want your money. Bedspread on my bed was also COVERED in stains upon my arrival.

They won't take you to your doctors appointments, dentist appointments, job interviews, nothing. You're forced to find your own transportation. My house manager was great, but inexperienced. Unprofessional at times. As a client, I did not receive the help I needed, or PAID FOR, and once they saw my insurance wasn't paying, they kicked me to the curb quick. They only care about the money. If you're looking to get clean, stay clean, and to better your life, you might want to look elsewhere.

This is the only treatment center that my son has ever gone to that he actually wanted to stay at. Dylan and his staff have shown my son so much love and have given him the tools to stay sober. My son has also never worked on his core issues until he went to Beachview, no other treatment center has ever cared enough about him to even help him figure out what those issues were. I will be forever grateful to Dylan and all of his staff. I love them so so much.

Vibes - immaculate, food - 8/10, therapy - fun and intriguing, the setting was swanky, the psychiatrist was the only downfall bc they were nonexistent LOL that was the hardest part of my stay bc the first night you are detoxing from ALL meds, yes even prescription ones. The lovely staff who are just doing their jobs have to deal with the fallout of those of us who are used to being able to take our prescription meds without fail bc we know how to maintain our stability. Though that culture shock is very jarring. It actually helps greatly to learn what are the root causes of your pain so you can actually work towards addressing that, instead of masking it with medication, which is a true crisis in our nation currently. Anyhoo, had a great time. Truly reflected on myself and why forgiveness towards myself is such a hard thing for me to accept as well as learning to lower the standards that I set upon myself.
