Contacted Attorney Graubart to represent me in a traffic violation case. He professed knowledge of the court and police officers involved. After meeting him in his office I felt a sense that he could help me. After paying his $400.00 fee, he assigned the case to another attorney, "of counsel," who had little knowledge of the applicable NYS traffic law. This attorney was surprised when I showed him the statute in question. Although ordered to appear, since this was a trial, the police officer did not show. Although unable to significantly reduce the charge, and rather than making an issue of the officers' failure to appear, the "of counsel" attorney strongly urged me to accept a plea, to end the case. He suggested that I might have to return another day and lose a 3rd day of work. I cannot recommend the office of Daniel Graubart as a traffic lawyer. The fee was a waste of money, since I would have better off simply taking the original offer at conference, and saving myself the fee and the loss of an additional day of work. read more
