Victor took on three jobs in my brownstone that bigger contractors either didn't want to do or would only take if I agreed to gut the spaces and pay a WHOLE lot more money (I'm talking thousands of dollars!). I needed old wooden shelves and a sink pulled out of a laundry room and utility closet, patching and painting the old plaster walls in these spaces, and some tricky tile repair in my tenants bathroom. Victor did a really nice job and was very careful to minimize the mess. Also he suggested a low cost alternative to dealing with some floor issues in my laundry room - everyone else wanted me to take out the floor and retile it, even though 90% of the floor was perfectly fine. His idea worked out great! Victor will prepare a detailed estimate for you and this is another plus of working with him - you know exactly what you are paying for. Victor is a regular guy with the skills and communication ability I needed. He transformed damaged ceilings in 2 bedrooms, a hallway and the bathroom. He stopped by for a consultation and listened to what I needed. There is a room with more damage and I wanted a quote separate from the total. In this way we can plan for the future with that. He was reasonably priced; I am not a haggler so this was a good thing. His employees were both friendly and quick to the task. Overall a solid job. Very easy to work with. Some walls were left a bit uneven but the original drywall was an uncommon thickness. My only real complaint is when reinstalling the last light, it was shoddily installed and wobbles. If Victor is willing to come back and install a basic fixture that is simpler to do, I will gladly change to five stars. read more
