George and his team were very professional, communicative, responsive, and upfront about costs and expectations. Limewash for a bedroom is a bold choice with a very specific technique and they knocked it out of the park. They were very patient with my wife and I as we took our time to choose the right colors and schedule the job around our unpredictable schedules. The first time we saw the room finished we were awe struck. It turned out 100 times better than we ever thought it could have. On top of that the team was very receptive to doing any and all small, detailed touchups that we requested. George even let us live with the room for a few days to make sure we were totally satisfied, and in that time, we realized that we wanted to redo the ceiling. He and his team came back the next week and re-did the ceiling in half a day and made sure we were happy with it. Could not have more great things to say about George and his team! I hired George after I had multiple floor to ceiling mirrored wall panels removed and needed the walls behind them repaired and painted. Because of some other renovation hiccups, I had to postpone a couple of times and George was more than accommodating and even squeezed me in last minute when I was ready to go. My building is a bit of a nightmare. And unless you use their recommendation, gives everyone contractor a crazy hard time, including sending George and his employee Dan away the first time they came. Despite this, George and Dan could not have been more flexible and nicer about it. I have not had them paint yet, as I'm waiting to have some other work completed first (will update when they are), but I am so excited for when they do because the repaired walls look so much better already!! read more

I did a lot of research but George and crew were the most polite and communicative of any company I reached out to for quotes, and communication is everything! I found George after researching painting reviews on Google and Yelp and I'm so glad I did! From my first inquiry, George called me to talk through the project (painting my living room). He then followed up multiple times as jumping through hoops with my coop proved to be challenging. George was patient, flexible and understanding with their requirements and scheduling the work. Once scheduled, he confirmed his day/time of arrival and brought my chosen paint color with him (I had chosen it on Pinterest and sent him the pics!). I also needed 8 large TV anchor holes sanded and patched. George and his partner Jimmy (who are SO sweet, btw!) started around 10am and were finished by 1:30pm! They were kind, professional, communicative and efficient. I am working from home and was able to work in the kitchen while they tackled the living room. The work is precise - important for a paint job! You can see from the pics the anchor holes were patched and filled and you can't even tell they were there. George has the experience to tackle any job, and his pricing is extremely fair. This job took less than 1 can of paint! I could not be more pleased and highly recommend him as your next painter. I hired Sandoukas Painting to paint my entire apartment before I moved back in. It's an old building so the walls are uneven and have a lot of bumps and flaws. They came in and not only painted but smoothed out all of the walls. Jimmy and George gave me an impossibly perfect experience. This was my first time using professional painters instead of painting a new apartment myself and it was worth every penny. Their estimate was very reasonable and included paint which saved me an errand (or multiple most likely). They were incredibly efficient and also fun to chat with and within 24 hours of moving I had gorgeous paint on the walls and leftover paint in case I ever need to touch something up after a scuff. They also offered to do any touch ups for free if I noticed anything but I didn't. A few weeks later I'm still so in love with the color and their work! I rarely right a review but when I do I have to feel they are exceptional. That said: This morning I got up and thought, gee my apartment looks pretty. And then I remembered that I hadn't given credit where it was due. George and his team painted our apartment last summer. It was not an easy job: high ceilings, 14 windows, 19 doors etc etc. I usually do my own painting because I am picky and a bit frugal. Anyway, I was terribly nervous as I have seen painters paint over wires, switch plates etc. As soon as George stepped into our apartment and evaluated the situation, I felt relief. He had a confidence that overrode my fears. Most people I hire point out details of why the job is difficult. No one wants to hear that! They want solutions. He is very particular and when in doubt about something he always asked. If he came in one day and thought a spot could look better, he fixed it. Even our cat loved him and she is a harsh judge indeed The job took well over a week and instead of being excited that it was coming to an end, I was a bit sad because I enjoyed having him in our home. On the last day I asked if he and his associate would have a drink and snacks downstairs, (we live above a bar). I'm sure 2 tired men covered in paint would have preferred a shower and some rest but my husband, daughter and I had a lovely time getting to know them better. And by the way, the price was great. I had gotten several bids before George, but none after. Next time we move, and we move A LOT, I won't panic when I see a fuchsia bedroom or black trim. I have George! read more
