"Sad to See You Go" cookie cake
    Natalie H.

Before going into the store, I made two previous attempts online to order a cookie cake for one of my co-workers to celebrate her leaving for a new job. Originally I thought it was because of the time (after the business had closed) that my order could not be submitted, later I realized the online service was not working. This was no major deal. So, I went inside to order the cookie cake, which I needed within the next two hours (guaranteed with online orders; inside there is a 20-minute guarantee on a particular size). Olivia kindly took my order, explained the available options to me based on the time it would take, and ensured that my co-worker's name was spelled correctly. She stated that my cookie cake would be ready in 30 minutes. Lanie (Store Manager) who never turned toward me, hollered out "it take 1 hour." Olivia looked uncomfortably at me and apologized, saying "I'm sorry, it will be an hour." I asked her if she would call me once it's ready (I assumed she would call because she requested my number for the order) and again Lanie interrupts from the other side of the store "You just come back." Again, Olivia looks at me as if she is in an awkward position. I understood, so I told her I would return in an hour. Upon returning, Lanie assisted me as she carried on a conversation with a blonde lady who was standing at the back of the store about texting an employee who had issues with her check. She brought the cookie cake to the counter in a plain brown box, which was disappointing because it was a gift so I would have much rather had the signature red box; I was not told beforehand that they were short on the logo boxes. Lanie opened the box to allow me to view the cookie cake, closed it without asking me if it was correct and simply told me to sign the order slip. I'm guessing that this was to confirm that it was correct. Because I was pressed for time I signed and left. The design was just as I asked, the cookie cake tasted great, but Lanie is in need of further training in customer service. I assume that there my be a language barrier and other cultural considerations, yet it is important that she adjust. If she is ever inside when and IF I MUST go there, I will spend my money on another treat. There's too many sweet shops in the area to choose one with an employee who dampens the joy of sugar.

I had just finished having lunch and while walking to my car I notice the Great American Cookie store. I couldn't resist. Therefore, I bypassed my car and continued my walk across the parking lot. It was a calorie bust for me as there was a sale to buy 5 cookies and get 1 for free. I knew I only needed one cookie, but o fell for the okie doke! I left out there with two fudge, two oatmeal and raisin, one macadamia nut and one peanut butter.I didn't eat them all in one setting, but they were gone by Sunday evening. What can I say? A girl will be in the gym on Monday working these extras off......

Purchased a $50 cookie today for a birthday. We were very disappointed with how thin these cookies have gotten. What a ripoff for the price.

Add sprinkles and chocolate drizzles and the presentation looks fun and is quite a spectacle but the price is far higher than its worth. Blue Bell Strawberrry cheesecake ice cream with a slice of FROZEN cheesecake and Redi-whip. Do you know what its like to TRY to eat frozen cheesecake with a plastic spoon?? Cost and quality aside, the staff were friendly and we were served quickly when we walked in. It only took a few minutes from order for our sundae's to be delivered. The place is relatively small and seats are close together. Easier to make new friends that way! There is also outdoor seating, if you desire to enjoy your ice cream with room to stretch out a bit. It was an interesting experience but the premium cost vs mediocre quality of the ice cream doesn't add up for me.

I ordered the birthday cake ice cream bowl, which was absolutely delicious. This bowl came with a cupcake and sprinkles. This place is perfect for A date night or a fun activity with the kiddos. The staff was very nice, but they could potentially use additional help during peak business hours. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely visit again.

The pastry case is stacked: a wide range of sweet and savory options, all baked in-house, plus a small rotating menu of heartier plates that make it easy to do either a light bite or a full breakfast/lunch. Bonus points for the strong vegetarian lineup and frequent vegan options--my go-tos are the black bean roll and the tomato pie. The baristas are friendly, service is quick and efficient, and the space itself is incredibly comfortable. Set in an old house with thoughtful decor, it has classic coffeehouse vibes (no cold, industrial feel here), making it equally good for meeting friends or settling in to get work done. There's also plenty of outdoor seating and a great backyard. On top of all that, Urban Foxes serves a solid selection of local craft beers and hard seltzers and really leans into community--regular pop-ups, art markets, and music shows ranging from punk to hip hop. Pro tip: grab a free zine on your way in. This place does a lot, and it does it well.

For our 30 guests the main living area was more than enough space with the high top tables, lounge chairs and sofa. We didn't even seat anyone outdoors or in the second space with round tables, which was used for gifts and favors. One plus is this venue is the sister to Urban Foxes that Cody and his family own, so we also used them for catering including coffee and their signature fox eggs, or mini quiche. Mostly street parking unless using driveway to unload, and they also provide a Bluetooth speaker for music and TV for slideshows/pictures if needed. We passed on purchasing some pies, but I can't wait to try one next time I visit.
