I don't like when I order a cupcake and you only get "hints" of the flavor. Not here, if you get a strawberry cupcake, expect for it to taste like a strawberry field in your mouth. If you get a peanut butter cupcake, that's exactly what you'll get. Their brownie is ooey gooey goodness and not cakey, just how I like them! The owners were friendly, and best of all, they don't charge you an arm for one of these sweet treats. A must when visiting Jackson or passing by on the 55 to your next destination. read more

This bakery has the best cupcakes I have ever tasted, hands down! I went there because the baker, Dani was recommended by a friend of mine. I ended up ordering my wedding cake from her, and it was awesome. However, everyone at the wedding RAVED about the cupcakes, and rightly so! It's a small bakery, but Dani does have a retail space for cupcakes and other sweets. The lemon cupcakes are my absolute favorite, but there are plenty more -- tiramisu, key lime, tres leches, turtle, black and white, carrot, italian creme....YUM! This place puts Gigi's to shame. So, a coworker just shared one of her pecan pie cupcakes with me. When I say this was the BEST cupcake flavor I have ever had in my 50 years of life...it is the absolute TRUTH! I've looked at the other reviews, and while I can't speak to their cakes or any other cupcake flavors (for now), this cupcake had the best flavor, hands down. I just wish there was a little more cake 'in the cup' to go along with that wonderful delicious icing. Not so hospitable but the lemon cupcake was grand. I walked in as a couple was working on a cake. The man came and asked what he could get for me. No pleasantries, no smile.The lemon meringue pie filling in my cupcake was a delightful surprise. They use plastic clamshell containers so I took my cakes in just their wrappers. read more

Wow....I can't even dock this a star for not taking credit/debit because the cupcakes are soooooooooo awesome that it makes up for it. (Although with current technology-I.e. Square-it's super easy to take credit/debit and text or email receipts.) BUT....I'm actually really glad this place isn't closer for me b/c it's sooooo freaking good that it's dangerous. I called for about a week to get a cake ordered and no one returned my call. I eventually stopped by the store's location to inquire about a cake ordered. Or course I couldn't get a cake ordered because a week's notice was too short of a notice now. I was told they screened the calls and call the people back who have orders far in advanced.
