Mila (1.5 years old) was so proud of the hat she made with her teacher !

We had gone through some troubling times with a couple previous choices of care and when we got into Great Beginnings we were welcomed with warm open arms. All of the teachers and administrators here are absolutely wonderful Since day one we have never had a question in our minds as to the safety and care of our daughter. We are so impressed with the curriculum and activities that she is involved in at such a young age! (Just over 1) Mila has come home with Spanish and sign language words!!! We are just over the moon. She is always happy to be dropped off and always come out with a huge smile!!! Thank you all for what you are providing to our community Love from the Tia family

On the second week of this program, during the last 10 mins where they separate the parents and let the kids play on the playground, one of the teacher's aide put her on the swing by herself, pulled her back, and pushed her forward. My daughter flipped backwards off the swing, spun in the air, and landed facedown on the ground. My wife ran out and quickly checked on my daughter and took her home. We called the pediatrician's office to see if we needed to bring her in to check for signs of concussion. After this happened, the school never once called to see how she was doing. The next day, we got a hold of the director and spoke to her about this incident. She tried to downplay it equating it to a minor fall/scrapes. No, this was not just a minor fall but a dangerous accident that happened in the hands of the teacher's aide. She then let us know that the way they work the swing is they first ask the child if they know how to go on and if the child say 'yes' and their hands are on the chains, they can go ahead and push the child. So they ignore what the parent told them during orientation, do not take any precautions when pushing a small child on the swing as long as the child said 'yes' to the swing? This is highly reckless and dangerous! We canceled our enrollment and never coming back here. Parents beware!

From…read morethe moment I took a tour of the school to now this school has been surprising me and my family day after day!! My son has been going to the patch for one year and he is register for another one... he LOVES it! It is a school where kids are allowed to be kids - they explore, they feel and they get messy!Your kid's unique personality will be respected, they will be heard, their little opinions matters and their ideas are heard and when possible executed (or a version of it! lol). Kids are outside all the time, in nature and use their imagination to play. The whole concept of the school is unique, personal and a concept that more school should follow. They truly respect your kids and their family. We are a community at Patch, a big family! Like all things... nothing is perfect! There will always be room for improvement and Sally (the director) always try her best and find ways to improve things. It is a young school with more and more students... and like everything they will get better and better with the years... The teachers are amazing, passionate and great with the kids. The way they talk to your kids is beautiful - instead of ordering them around they make kids think for themselves, let the kids make their own choices (with safety of course), the way they solve an argument over a toy or whatever, is so respectful of the kid's feelings from both parties... they solve issues with kids learning from it and becoming better little beings. A Little Patch of Earth is my son's second home! I can go on and on... I have to say this school isn't for everyone... some people prefer a more traditional education which is totally fine... Thank you Patch teachers for your amazing work, dedications and love for the school and the all the kiddos!

We had looked at many other schools and daycares around the area. By luck while driving, we came across Stepping Stones. We decided to stop by saying "well let's just check it out." As soon as we walked in and met the staff and saw the inside we knew this place was it. Our little one who had never said anything at the other places immediately said "this is my new school." We made our decision and so glad we did. Our first day drop off was like you'd expect, nervous and emotional but the entire staff was amazing from day one till our very last day. We would get updates either by their teacher and or see updates on their private Facebook page. Our little enjoyed it so much that he looked forward to going to school every single day. They take great care of all the kiddos and you will see it as all the kids love the staff. Everyone was amazing. Our kid grew so much in just a year and we are sad that that we couldn't keep him there longer. We will always be grateful for this place. Our little one and us will miss you!

The reason my review is only 2 stars is because the director Laurie is horrible. After the school reopened they changed their structure and must have been overwhelmed because Laurie kicked my son out of the program after 2 days. My son is energetic and needed time to adjust to routine and structure. I put him in school to learn to socialize with other kids not because I needed childcare. They were unwilling to work with me to improve his behavior. As a nurse working in the pandemic I understand the stress of COVID and the importance of communication with family members. Laurie does not understand this concept and decided to give up on my sweet child. If you are looking for a preschool and your child is energetic I would highly recommend looking elsewhere because they don't have the patience or willingness to help your child learn.

She is very hands on and is an amazing teacher. They are allowed to be children and explore the world around them. They do gardening, play in the mud, and many outdoor activities where they can learn through play. The children are taught values: how to be kind and respectful, how to be a good friend and of course academics. The smaller class size means that your child will get better quality of education versus a class of 29 in public school. After my 4th child graduated kindergarten, it was a no brainer for me to enroll my 5th child at Rise and Shine. My 5th child has learned and grown so much since starting kindergarten! He developed love for God and enjoys praying and reading his bible before going to bed. Don't be fooled though, the academic portion of the kindergarten class is really challenging and at the end of the day your child will surprise you with what he's learned in class. We really love Teacher Jeannie and Rise and Shine. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for them. Even if you have Teacher Jeannie as your teacher, you will feel that the school has a family atmosphere. Every one knows your child by name and truly cares. My only regret is not discovering them sooner with my 3 older children and I still pray that they open up elementary classes! That would be the dream!
