I had a dinner reservation that night with friends so I couldn't come back later and she said her lunch could wait. THE QUALITY. Parts are CLEAN, doesnt use a ridiculous amount of gel but these braids are not going ANYWHERE. Zetta literally saved my birthday. She inconvenienced my ENTIRE DAY on my birthday and my hair was burnt to all hell too, smelling bad even AFTER I washed it. Not one "thank you" or apologize for the delays. I won't be going else where. Total opposite of my encounter last night. Denver was my stylist and she was so pleasant. She was happier to take her time, we talked about the ideas I had, the pictures I brought and she asked thought provoking questions that allowed us to arrive at a style that not only suited my personality but the time I have for upkeep as well. I LOVE MY CUT! Every bit as much if it had been from a high priced, "reputable stylist". Denver is my girl! Five stars isn't enough for her!

Cut a huge length of hair, had a shampoo and an eyebrow wax and I could not be happier with either service! Leslie was amazing, friendly and did exactly as I wanted!! They don't stay open all the time, they appear to close between appointments. This has it's good and bad points. It is in old town Norwalk which really wouldn't be busy with walk in traffic, so I can see the advantage to closing up shop if you don't have appointments already set. The ladies were done in just about an hour. I was pretty impressed that it was a lot shorter then I imagined it would be. The prices were reasonable and it didn't feel as empty as it looked from outside. The woman who took care of them was personable and professional and they both came out looking spiffy.

The location is conveniently off of I80 near Living History Farms and Machine Shed. Parking lot is easy to get to. May not be easy during traffic hours. The entry in can be blocked if driving during traffic hour. Inside: I love the look and size of the studio. The privacy was a huge selling point for me. I was able to have an intimate time with my stylist with no other gossip or banter from other people. The washing station is a communal area. Which I was able to meet other women and stylists for a short time. The processing area is around the corner of the washing station and if other stylists don't have their doors closed you can easily eavesdrop in their conversations. My stylist did a great job! I'm in the process of getting my black hair lightened so I will be seeing her more than once. I look forward to visiting again. Highly recommend this type of salon if you like privacy and intimate conversation.

A few things that stick out the most: - The space is always clean and beautiful, - Products they sell and use smell AMAZING, - I let the stylists know I am on a tight budget and always have they provided me with options within the price range (I make sure I leave room in the budget for a nice tip), - The stylists always let you know what they are going to do before they do anything, - Always feel a confident boost when I walk out knowing my hair looks great and how I want it. For the second time in 6 months we were charged over twice what we were quoted on the phone upon…read morereceiving service. I took my five year old in for her first haircut before the start of the school year; when I called to schedule I was very clear that this would be a simple trim for a five year old so I did NOT need a top tier stylist, and was quoted $20-30. My child's hair is shoulder length, was not washed or dried or even styled by the stylist, it was sprayed with a spray bottle and a maximum of five snips were made, and she was done. It looked no different than when we arrived. It ended up being $50. I called and was told I didn't specify the stylist level so received services from a top tier stylist. I chalked it up to a possible miscommunication. My 15 year old then made an appointment for a color, cut and style, we were VERY careful and detailed, not only because of our prior experience/lesson, but because she was saving her own money for this. I told them this when we scheduled our appointment, and was explicitly quoted a total of $90 for various services by a newer stylist. She went in for a color consult, and all seemed on track. She was then charged $197 for services at the end - over TWICE what she was quoted and saved for. I called, again, and spoke to the stylist who explained she never talked about pricing with my daughter and essentially that regardless of what we were quoted on the phone, she charges for services rendered. She offered for me to speak with the manager, but repeated that she must be paid for services rendered. I was too frustrated to continue so said no thanks and reiterated how disheartening this was for my daughter. After giving myself some time, I called back and requested to speak to the manager, they took my name and number and said they would be in the next day and would call back then. I have not received any reach out. As someone who came from a low income family, considers trips to the salon a luxury or treat, and whom is very conscientious of what I spend, in addition to us being very clear we needed a true close estimate for my teenage daughter to save for, this is frustrating, disheartening, and seems to make going to a good quality salon inaccessible for everyone. When people ask for pricing, they should be aware for some, that is crucial. Not everyone has the funds to spend TWICE AS MUCH as they planned for. And the cold, dismissive, and seemingly careless tone when confronted with that by the salon and stylists is just another let down. EVERYONE deserves to enjoy a day at the salon, even people who have to scrimp and save, and ask VERY SPECIFICALLY what it will cost so they CAN AFFORD a special treat and to FEEL SPECIAL. We've gone to Signatures many times over the years. I don't know what has changed, but this is enough to not return when we literally can't do anything to ensure we have the funds and know what we will be charged.

I dont think she "doctored" that correctly because it came back and grew back under my skin and made me uncomfortable. I also didn't end up liking my French tip I got on my toes. blood got into the white and she didn't notice. I think she just wanted to be done with me. It took 4 months for my toe to stop being uncomfortable and it was something I had to fix myself. It was a day when kids had off from school so there were a lot of moms and daughters shopping. It kind of surprised me because the few categories of items I was looking for seemed to be higher end. But I have heard that sephora had an appeal to the younger crowd, I guess I didn't realize how young. The bright lights and layout had me a bit overwhelmed so I left. Not sure what I will use my gift card on, but will opt for shopping on the website or likely regift it. The store just did make me excited about buying anything.
