Decent selection and we have no other choice, but employed by a far left, immensely rude staff - especially during the closing days of Covid. They were demanding masks long after every other business in town (private or otherwise) had stopped, the mandate had been lifted, and after the announcement that dust and fabric masks do not help in any way. When I asked why they were still requiring it, security and the Communist woman running the place were called, and I was told to leave the premises. I wasn't threatening or hostile in any way - I simply wanted to know what their deal was. Had they merely advised me that the state was still requiring it or something similarly reasonable, I would have said, "Ah, well, that's unfortunate, but we do what we must." These people consider themselves highly educated and enlightened, but they're simply emotional rather than critical thinkers who are easily manipulated and indoctrinated. They were taught by Communist elements in the government what to think rather than how to think, & they believe that this fact makes them somehow superior to those of us who didn't buy our careers. Make sure to check out the reviews that Yelp "doesn't recommend," as this is where the most useful reviews typically appear (especially in this particular instance). Fairly graded, our unfortunately managed (once-great public library, a shell of its former self, and most of the people who go there on a regular basis are city bums) would receive an average one-star grade. read more

I really like this library and the people who are working here. The only downside is Great Falls doesn't have the best homeless population control aka not enough housing so the homeless end up at the library all day. Brings in a lot of coughs and sniffles that I wish could be at home. I do appreciate that the Library is a place they can go and get warmth & access to bathrooms. However a change in this would be nice. read more

Staff is so friendly. Clean library. Love that they have a bowl where you can pull at a piece of paper to pick your next book randomly. The papers are color coded by genre. Both my daughter and I chose our next books this way. Not a fan of having to pay for parking but if it keeps the library afloat then so be it. read more

unfortunately, at 84 years old, physically going to the library just to get a library card is an extraordinary request, just so I can check out e-books for the kindle (for which I will not ever have to physically go to the library). Was told another family member could go get a card and then I could check out on that card; but this makes no sense. What is the value of having someone physically go to the library to get a card if they aren't even the person who is checking out books. This is a nonsensical rule and a barrier to reading. read more

The children's area of the library is nice, however, while there today with my 2 year old, we were sitting on the pillows on the floor reading books when the woman working told me I was not allowed to use the pillows since I am an adult. This is absurd as I'm clearly there with my two year old trying to comfortably sit on the ground so I can read with him. I understand there being rules to prevent adults from just going to nap in the area, but at some point some common sense should kick in. It was extremely uncomfortable and absurd. read more

I love my library! The staff has went above and beyond during the worst of COVID. They scheduled curbside pickup on holds and renewed all my current books so that I wouldn't be overdue as drop-offs were closed. read more

Nice building and collection of reading material. However, this is not a good place to study or find quiet time. The library is incredibly loud with patrons talking on the phone, children running up and down the stairs unsupervised, and library staff conducting business in a full voice sometimes talking across a room to each other. Overall, very poorly managed by head librarian. read more
