There was no pressure to work with him, but he always answered every question before we committed, and continued to communicate regularly throughout the project. He gave an estimated time frame and they beat it by a couple days. They were very accommodating on start date when we asked to move it up, and were happy to work with our schedule when other parts of the house weren't ready for them. Some contractors come one day and dont come back for a couple days - they showed up every day they said they would be here. The crew, Peter and Miguel, worked well together and so they were able to move through the project quickly. The finished product looks great thanks to their attention to detail. His team did leave floor finish stains on the baseboards and my kitchen quartz counter walls, so heads up, don't forget to ask them to use painters tape if you're getting your hardwood floors sanded and refinished. (Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. Instead, since he has been fully paid, he won't even see the project to the end to make sure he delivers on quality work. What appeared to be done right in the beginning was an illusion. More flaws in the installation have continued to appear. Just to be clear all of the problems that we are seeing are not product issues, although there are some. Bad trim work, uneven edging and installing the product (flooring) over non leveled floors that were supposed to be leveled by the installer are solely the responsibility of the installation company. He overcharges and sends extra bills for work that was never discussed or priced--he just hands you a bill. His attitude is extremely rude. He is frequently under the influence while on the job, never arrives on time, and often leaves without informing you. They never clean up after themselves. He claims to have over 20 years of experience, but I believe he just watches YouTube tutorials and attempts the work. I've done all the tasks he has done, and although I'm not an expert, my work is hundreds of times better. Save your money and do not hire this person. I have to take him to court. Walls, tile, trim, and paint are all poorly done. He ruined our $2,000 jet tub and didn't inform us. It wasn't until after installing the tile that we fiund out and he said we would repair it, what. A joke. Then he said, "Well, it's six years old."
