He was very honest, open and straightforward with me. This grew trust right away, which is extremely important to me as a single mother and provider of my family. Encore! Since Sam and the PTB crew did a beautiful job on our bathrooms, we asked Sam to come back and do our floors as it had been loosening already for many years. We upgraded the entire first floor tiles from small ceramic tiles to large format porcelain tiles, and the results are absolutely GORGEOUS! Side note: My husband and I were bestowed a new kitten from CDS (Cat Distribution System) and I was worried this would be a terrible time to have a kitty, with our planned floor renovation coming up. Renovations/construction and cats don't mix, and so we kept our kitty in the bathroom as the floor renovation took place. For the job, the floors went from kitchen, dining, living room, extending all the way to the front door - so a very large surface area. Ben, Rudy, Ivan and the entire crew were super friendly, professional, and great to work with -- you can tell they are artisans in their craft~ They were so careful with the tiles, we ended up with many leftover extra tiles and we added another project and installed those extra tiles as an accent wall in the Powder Room, which came out a STUNNING showpiece! I've already gotten many compliments. During the entire time, my kitty was not phased or traumatized by their work. For the kitchen, realistically we were expecting some side effect damage on the cabinets from the floor demolition, but it was almost nonexistent -- Perfect demolition! No one likes going through renovations, but with Sam and PTB -- it's as if they ninja-ed in, installed all the new things, and left everything else in place as if they were never here. It began as a remodel, but then we decided to convert our half bath to a full bath, up grade kitchen and laundry area. Which turned into remodeling the entire house and restructuring the floor plan to make the full bath, laundry area and kitchen work. There's a reason why I'm posting this on Thanksgiving, and it's because I really want to thank Sam, Carlos and his team from Prime Team Builders for their work on my bathroom remodel and the aftercare. There's also a reason why you're reading this long review, and it's because you know construction/remodel can be an involved and difficult journey with unpleasant and costly surprises derailing the process, and you want to know if Sam, the general contractor and his team from Prime Team Builders will work WITH you on the entire process and stand BY you when things go wrong. You wonder if you'll ever find a GC that'll stand behind their word and give great service and top notch communication, and without a doubt, the answer is a resounding YES! We interviewed multiple contractors, Sam stood out as the most professional, passionate and with a great eye for aesthetic and design. He offered us opinions and suggestions while being completely respectful of our sporadically changing whims. After we contracted with him, he stayed in touch consistently via text, email, and phone calls and he even called us back after hours just to give us peace of mind when we're fretting with design questions! His crew did wonderful work, they have great work ethics, respectful, communicative, and never left things messy. Words can't do it justice but you'll see in my before-and-after pictures, it's really a work of art. Now here comes the most important part. A month after the remodeling is done and we say our goodbyes and thanks, I realized my kitchen ceiling is leaking in an odd place! We weren't sure if it's due to the remodel so I immediately notified Sam and he gave me a call right away discussing the issue. He told us to stay put and send his guy out to inspect it, only to find out (with good reason) that it's not remodeling related. However, now I have a leaking pipe, and a stained kitchen ceiling. But guess what? Sam says "I'll help you out", even though it's not related to them. Usually your GC will just ghost you after it's all done and paid for, but Sam really went above and beyond. He gave me a reasonable price and had his team cut open the ceiling, fix the leak, close it up, fix the drywall, repaint the ceiling (!!!!!), just so we can "get back to normalcy". My wife and I both work and so not needing to coordinate between a plumber , a drywall guy, a painter, etc., is really a huge help. So what are you waiting for? I'm very impressed with the project manager and the entire team at Prime Team Builders, Inc. My master shower valve had been acting up since 2023. Because the previous valve set did not have a make or model, the previous plummer could not figure out how to replace parts or where the problem was coming from (he suggested that it could be due to the handheld sprayer or the water pressure). Since I had already gone through two water damages, I was very much on edge and was afraid of another leak. So far, I've had to replace my water heater twice, replace the entire horizontal pipes in my crawl space, repair the leaky chimney, & replace the entire roof. So when the master showerhead started to leak, I did not want to take any chances. I had made several attempts to try to fix the leak coming from the showerhead, but there was no way to fix the valve set without getting into the wall (there wasn't a closet door to access the valves). Since the wall had to be taken down in order to access the valves, the final decision was to replace the entire shower valve set & remodel the bathroom. The remodel involved removing the existing jacuzzi tub that was not useful and make closet space. Granted there was the run-around of unavailable inventory at the store, I was ultimately pleased with the final outcome. The project manager did a good job coordinating all phases of the project, from removal & demolition to permit inspections, measurements, and third party workers (i.e. window installer). I like the fact that there was a shower pan test to check for leaks and that the cement was layered twice without any workaround. Sam paid attention to tile trims & how much of a difference that made on the appearance as well as delivering on building a working relationship by trying to make his customers happy. The workers did an excellent job with the fine detail on the shower system installation and the tile work. It's a miracle how the workers were able to tile the window sill with such perfection. Unlike numerous nails & gutters left behind on a previous roofing project at my Mom's house, the workers for this project cleaned up the driveway area where the tiles were cut and the materials were all cleared. I'm impressed with the work and would definitely recommend Prime Team Builders for a remodel project. read more
