Economy Garages in Duluth was supposed to have a good reputation. We signed a contract with them…read morein July of 2016, and even though there was a problem (the problem was not theirs) getting the permit, once the permit was granted we were assured that the garage would be done before the snow flew. Then there was a problem in that the salesman measured the slope of the land improperly so that it took longer (and they tried to charge us another $2,000) to get the excavation done. Then it took another couple of months to get the slab poured. Once the slab was poured we were informed the other cement work (concrete blocks) would be taken care of the next week - you guessed it, it took another month. Once the masons showed up to do the block work, they left a huge sheet of plastic and all the empty cement bags to blow all over our property. Now they finally showed up to do the building, so yesterday when I got home, they had piled a bunch of two by fours right at the foot of the stars to the porch, making it inconvenient (at best) to get in the house if not outright dangerous. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN, nor is there anybody in the world I dislike enough to recommend them. If you value honesty, timeliness, or the ability to follow through on promises, use anyone else. This company is a sick joke.

do not recommend at all! hired to replace a roof and in getting original estimate he called…read morestating to us that the sheathing needed to also be replaced at additional cost of $3,000.00. Now we have come to find out that the roof is 5 years old and completed rotten. We have since learned that he did not remove the old sheathing as he lays it over the old roofing system. In trying to contact Scott he was elusive and evasive never returned calls. After finally reaching him after 60 days, he said that he has no warranty on his roofing systems. And also that it has not been since the last 4 years that he learned how to properly vent and install roofing systems. When he comes to the home he is there to give you the estimate and then never goes back to the work site, and this is completely supported by staff as well. He called from another site, to ask for the additional work, and had men on the site that did the repairs. As a licensed and insured contractor does not go back and inspect his employees work, he has clearly stated to us that he "trusts his men/employees". In trying to reach him phone numbers are disconnected, no emails, no fax machines to send messaged to. Called several times and reach "Cassie" the answering service where she screens the calls and tells you Scott is not available, only to never call you back. He has stated the only thing with the roof that is warrantied are the 30 year shingles and you would need to contact the manufacture and prove them to be defective. He does not offer that! You cannot rely on the Better Business Web site, they are only now permitted to allow comments to be send to the company to refute and they never publish, it also means that comments you see published on line are only in the same year. Old comments and complaints and suits filed fall off after 12 months. With the fact there is no warranty, and no insurance and no recourse for you as a home homeowner, I would tell you not to use this company based on facts and experience!
