Woke up to a dead battery and called Great Potential Auto Body which painted accessories on my Lexus 2 weeks ago. They referred me to the auto repair just next door which I noticed had full garages and bays with cars. I called at 8am when they opened and spoke with Mark the owner. He said to bring in the car and he could take it in 5 minutes. I arrived over an hour later and he did take my car into the garage in 5 minutes after arrival. He checked the battery and alternator for about 30 minutes then told me the battery needed to be replaced (this made sense as the battery was about 5 years old). He also said the alternator was weak but could wait a little while to be replaced. I opted to have both done at that visit. He gave me a written quote which was very reasonable priced. Unfortunately, my Lexus did not like the rebuilt alternator so Mark had to take it out and replaced it with a new one. In the meantime, he noticed upcoming maintenance repairs. I considered this a free inspection which would normally cost up to $80. I received a phone call when the car was ready for pick up. Mark explained what was happening with my over cycling A/C, power steering leak, and tire treads. He also explained what repairs could be done in order so as to budget the repairs before they created a huge problem. Mark is the type of owner and technician that wants to service your car in the future. He has excellent customer service skills as well as being a professional auto technician. I think he treats all customers like they are family and friends and recommends repairs like the same. I am definitely going back for additional repairs. I would highly recommend calling him because I found his business to be honest, professional, timely and very reasonably priced. FYI: Mark also explains that he works with a 3rd party financing company which is nice for the big ticket repair bills. read more

Several days ago, I was driving my 2004 Nissan Altima when suddenly the car started changing speed, slowing down and showing all kinds of warning signals on the panel. I was barely able to get to the nearby TIRES PLUS auto service center that I had used in the past. They performed a diagnostic test and their verdict was: code P0731 showing a transmission problem. The manager said that they do not fix transmissions and that I needed to tow the car to a transmission service center. I started googling for auto services with good reviews in my area, which is how I found GREAT POTENTIAL CENTER. I called them and described the situation. Mark Thibault, the owner, whom I spoke with, asked me what kind of services had been performed on the car recently. After he found out that the alternator and battery were recently replaced, he suggested that when a car has electrical problems, the trouble code, generated by a computer most likely shows an incorrect number. He offered for me to bring the car to GREAT POTENTIAL for a diagnostic. It took him 5 minutes to find out that the voltage was low and the alternator (that the same TIRES PLUS had installed in my car 2 months prior) was defective. This information helped me to convince TIRES PLUS to change the defective alternator. Afterwards, I brought the car to Mark again and he confirmed that the problem had been solved. The computer no longer showed the error code, the voltage was normal and there was nothing wrong with the transmission. I am very grateful to Mark! He helped me to get peace of mind and to save time and money. Most importantly, I was lucky to find an honest, reliable and very friendly mechanic who I am going to use now for all my future car maintenance and repair needs. read more

i think I found my new mechanic. this is a location in Kendall. most people out here are laid back and take they sweet time. these people are fast and they're good. What I love the most is that they close at 7pm because I won't make it by 5pm anywhere else. I definitely recommend them to anyone. I got my rim changed there , my tire changed there.
