While I could have gone to a larger franchise for a slightly cheaper brake job, I much prefer small, family-owned shops like this one. Here, you get knowledgeable, personalized service from someone who truly understands cars--not just an employee who reads off a parts list without real expertise. This shop focuses on a few cars at a time, so their work is meticulous, not rushed like at some of the bigger places. The owner was incredibly polite and patient, answering all my questions, and he even personally test-drove my vehicle to ensure everything was properly fixed. I don't know if these reviews are paid for or they're all relatives but I have to say this shop is very untrustworthy (and definitely not fair prices). Either they don't know what they're doing or they scam people, so either way you can't trust them. I brought my car in after having all my brakes replaced by a very skilled and knowledgeable mechanic who unfortunately lives very far from me. After a few weeks of having replaced them, I was getting a horrible screeching sound coming from ONE of them. Since I didn't want to drive my car far away to have it looked at, I looked for a shop with good reviews. I called this place and asked when I could have that one brake (and I told him MAYBE one other one but only specified one) looked at. They told me noon. So I dropped it off at 11:30 thinking they'll find the problem and get back to me that day. Nope, I had to leave my car overnight. When I dropped it off I asked what they charge to find the problem. He said we don't charge for that. It was 5 pm and they close at 6 and I hadn't heard anything so I called. He told me he drove it and heard what I did and was going to have to open up the brake to take a look (that's what I expected when I asked how much they charged to figure out the issue). He said this is when he told me about paying for labor and he probably did and I misunderstood since no one can literally just "look" and figure out what's wrong. Anyway, the next day when they called me to see what I wanted to do, they quoted me like $940! Saying I should replace all the brakes and they couldn't find the issue aside from that they were rusted (surface rust which is normal even with new ones). ???? I told them it was grossly overpriced. I've never paid that much for brakes and honestly, it's not that big of a deal to figure out what's going on for a good mechanic. It's just brakes. So I told them to send me a quote for the ONE brake that was giving me the noise which I originally said to check out. Still came back to $350. I said there's no way I'm paying that much so I was just going to pick my car up and I'd figure it out. Before I hung up they said $130 for the labor to take them apart to look at them. No work was actually done aside from taking all 4 brakes apart (remember I never told them to do that) and there was not even an answer as to what the problem was. So my regular mechanic that I can trust drove down to check it out. He figured it out in less than 10 minutes by just taking off the tire; didn't have to take the brake apart. It was just a clip that was expanding with the heat and scratching the rotor. He fixed that and no more problem. So like I said, either they don't know what they're doing or they're being dishonest. Either way, save yourself the headache and money and find another place. read more

I brought my 2016 Pathfinder in to have the alternator replaced. I brought my own alternator they quoted me a price of $90 over the phone for labor. When I got there the guy told his wife she made a mistake but he would honor it anyway. Unfortunately, the alternator that I bought was defective so I had to pay another $90 plus I bought an alternator from him and they re-installed it and it works perfect. Apparently, he felt that the best way to replace the alternator was to remove the front bumper and evacuate the air conditioning system? Of course that was more money. Now my bumper is hanging off and has broken clips on both sides and I'm stuck with it and it's going to cost me hundreds of dollars to have it reinstalled properly. I checked with other repair shops, including Nissan, and they all said you don't have to remove the front bumper or evacuate the air conditioning system to replace the alternator. I should have known that these people had no business working on a car that was only three years old every car that was there look like it was 10 years or older. I guess you can judge a book by it's cover when you see the shop. read more
