Located inside Clinton's beloved Gothic Revivalist Church, this brewery offers a one of a kind experience. As you step inside, you have to admire the stunning architecture and famous artwork lining the walls. You are seated by a hostess and are given a menu of many craft brews, sodas, seltzers and energy drinks. They even offer THC infused lemonades. I started with a flight of 3 beers.. Recreational Red Ale,1898 American Lager and Peach Wrangler Sour Ale..all were very flavorful and reasonably priced For our food choices I had the Bac N Chz Bites which were cheese curds with bacon and a raspberry Chipotle dipping sauce. My wife who is Gluten Free had the Carnivore Wood Fired Pizza with house made sausage, pepperoni, capicola, prosciutto and red onions. Unfortunately this is why I'm only giving this brewery 4 stars and not 5. The pizza was just average at best and all the ingredients were in the middle of the pie and nothing around the edges. The menu descriptions were better than the flavors themselves in our opinion. Cheese curds were lacking in flavor even with the sauce . Our server was very unfriendly and never came back to see how everything was. For beers and unique atmosphere this place is 5 stars but for service and food quality I'm afraid they only get 4 stars.

Take me to church! Reviving old churches into brewpubs and restaurants is a popular thing now and they did a great job with the decor in this one. It's a mix of traditional and old with industrial and it works. The drinks were the highlight. I didn't care for the food or the service. The food sounds better as described on the menu than it tasted. Come for the drinks and atmosphere and maybe they will get it together as a restaurant.

Five stars for the vibe High three or low four on beer It was worth the drive I have been in a brewery that was a chapel and one that was a mortuary, but I think this is the first one I have been to that was a full blown church. Saw a YouTube video on this place a couple weeks ago and decided that I must get there at some point. Some point came yesterday. Five and a half hour drive from the Twin Cities with no stops. The drive through northeastern Iowa is surprisingly scenic. Had a blonde and three IPA's. They ranged from 3.75 to 4.25 on my Untappd ratings. Got the spinach artichoke skillet appetizer. It was solid. Staff was friendly. One drawback is no TVs if you are wanting to watch a game. Worth giving them a shot if you are within a couple hours of it. Five and a half might have been a little excessive, but for a beer geek like me - worth it.

Delicious food and drink all around! My boyfriend and i frequent here and have yet to find something we don't like! Great pizza in a great setting. I love the POG seltzer. We have had Seth as our server a few times, they rock!

Can't say enough great things about this place. It was still a church when I lived in Clinton. LOVE how they incorporated the church into the pub. Tastefully and respectfully done EXCELLENT pretzel appetizer. Huge pizza plate size thing. Then, we shared brisket Mac and cheese, which was superb. Wife had a prickly pear margarita and i had a pint of the Great Wheat. Recommend recommend recommend!!!

Me and my boyfriend are on a romantic adventure when we stopped in here for some food and drinks. This is hands down thee best place to go. We had pizza which was fire and the drinks on tap were so delicious ! The place is a beautiful old church and the waitress showed us the cool basement with board games and cool old feel. The fountain is so beautiful. Love this place!

First time here! Amazed at all the history and story behind the brewery. Read the Bible! Lots of beer to choose from even from other breweries across the state. Food was good. Reuben was delicious. Husband had the brisket Mac n cheese and only complaint was the side of tots were cold. Kitchen was busy but it smelled wonderful as soon as you walked into the place.

Cool restaurant. Service is kinda slow and it's a little pricey for the amount of food you get but it's not bad. Had the grouper sandwich. Sandwich was tasty, fries came out cold tho. Coleslaw was the best.

Mother's Day Brunch Bust. Cant rate food or atmosphere…read morebecause we didnt get to eat & left. Setvice at the front desk was horrible. This past Wednesday I called Rastrelli's Restaurant @ the number listed in a post to make a reservation to treat my loving amazing wife to a delicious Sunday brunch to celebrate her. Instead, we were met with incompetence, poor customer service & a general unwillingness to accommodate customers (1 being a mother on Mother's Day). At first 4 frazzled greeters in black shirts could not find our reservation. Of course. The first question from the staff was when the reservation could not be located was "Did somebody call you later to confirm your reservation?" (What???? Who does that??? Isn't that what the reservation is all about???) The staff asked if somebody took down my name & number. I assured them that this happened. I added that the person even reiterated what I had told them; repeating my 1st & last name, phone number & the time for our reservation. I even showed my call log to show the time I called & to prove that nobody ever called me back. I also stated that at no point in the conversation, did the staff person say anything about anybody calling me back to confirm my reservation. During this 15-20 minute fiasco, we sat & watched the staff greet & seat numerous other parties w/ 2-3 X as many people as our party of 3. Finally the staff involved a 5th person in a red shirt who thankfully found the original call log that contained my information proving that I did in fact call in for 3 people on 05/10/26 @ 11:00 am. The staff told us that there were no tables available as we did not have a reservation, because somebody did not transfer my name from the call in list to the reservation list. As this was going on, 3 people came to the counter, paid their bill and left. I asked "Those 3 people are leaving. Why can't you just give us their table?" Again, we were told we didn't have a reservation even though they did find our name on the reservation call in log. All this went on for 30 minutes with the staff displaying a profound rigidness stating, We cant seat you....Our reservations are booked in a time specific manner......there is no wiggle room. No effort was ever made by these 5 staff members to provide any assistance, accommodation or resolution. At this point frustration set in & we left. So thanks for nothing Rastrelli's. It will be a long time before we ever go out of our way or even stop in for a meal at this establishment.

The Ghost in the Machine: A Study in Youth and Enigmas at Rastrelli's…read moreIn the heart of Clinton, Iowa, Rastrelli's stands as a sprawling monument to local tradition, a place where the weight of history is palpable in every dining room. However, a recent visit suggests that while the walls remain steeped in heritage, the current operation is being steered by a remarkably green crew. The waitstaff and floor team are almost exclusively young, possessing an earnest but unpolished energy that seems to operate in a vacuum. Management was entirely invisible, a phantom presence that left the youthful staff to navigate the complexities of a large-scale dinner service without a seasoned captain at the helm. This lack of professional oversight leads to a breakdown in the basic choreography of service. The tables here are notably small, a logistical challenge that became apparent when steaming plates of hot pasta arrived while our salad trays still occupied the limited real estate. It is a fundamental error in pacing that a present manager would have corrected with a single glance. Furthermore, for a house that prides itself on its Italian roots, the absence of vinegar to accompany the olive oil for the bread was a curious and disappointing omission. The staffing model remains equally baffling. Our waitress seemed to be burdened with nearly every occupied table in the room. We were fortunate that the evening was not particularly busy; had the dining room been at capacity, the system surely would have buckled under the weight of such an uneven distribution of labor. The most surreal chapter of the evening, however, was the appearance of the "orange dish"--a neon-hued confection studded with marshmallows. When we sought clarification, the staff--notably, not the chef--explained that this enigmatic staple is prepared en masse every morning. It is a dish that feels like a spirited, mid-century potluck survivor, an orange enigma that remains the most bizarre part of the Rastrelli's experience. "Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire." -- Gustav Mahler Rastrelli's remains a cornerstone of the Clinton landscape, but the current fire seems to be flickering under the weight of an absent management and a disjointed service rhythm. While the youthful staff is to be commended for their effort, the establishment would benefit greatly from a steadying hand to guide the basics. I'm a little taken aback by the reviews here…read more... I thought this place was phenomenal. It was recommended by a coworker that lived in town, and I thought the theme was super cute. We did take out and the spot was super clean, I would even say spotless, when we walked in. The worker was super helpful and acknowledged us as we were walking through the door. It was a little later in the night, so the dining area was dead, which I appreciated because of COVID. Our food was pretty quick being made, maybe half an hour since the time we submitted an order. It was SO HARD to choose a pizza because they all looked so freaking good! We ended up with the pineapple BBQ chicken which was bomb, and their all meat pizza which was great. Their thin crust is SO GOOD, and they had what seemed like homemade ranch which was amazing. We also got some jalapeño poppers, onion rings (the perfect crisp), and cheese balls (omg can I just eat these for dinner?!). Literally everything was so fresh and delicious, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town for work. This is my new pizza spot in Clinton.

Ours were only cleared when they brought a few slices of pizza to our table. Other than that we never saw anyone. We came in just a few minutes after they first opened, no chicken breasts in the pan. I thought that's sort of strange. We were there long enough that they brought out a refill of the chicken pan and we made a bee line for the pan.....still no chicken breasts. Something's doesn't seem right with that. We came away feeling short-changed for what we paid. We would not return to this PR location.
