History

Established in 1993.

Born and raised right here in the Okanagan, Sifu James Heinrich started martial arts training in 1980. Sifu James achieved "Sifu" Level 10 Certified Instructor under the coaching of Sigung Brian Lewadny and Sifu Brenda Lewadny, founders of the Canadian Wing Chun Kung Fu Association. "I believe that the benefits from martial arts training are so vast and powerful that everyone can benefit. My personal mission is to positively touch as many lives as possible through the martial arts!" Sifu James and his wife and partner Esmeralda, Level 6, opened Great Way Martial Arts in 1993. "Our enthusiasm and gratitude for the martial arts and our community continues to grow year after year."

So we asked around and for those students , pre pandemic, who trained, we were advised he often flaked out in classes or canceled them last minute.
