Tabitha was very helpful when we needed to get some papers notarized with some witnesses, and then helped me again with opening a cd.

Been with this bank for years. Very sad to see customer service is in the toilet. Not just at one GNCU in Carson, but both.

Greater Nevada Credit Union is running a SCAM! I read an article once that warned people about…read morethis, but I never imagined it would happen to me, especially not with a credit union. I called them last week and spoke to a representative about my rv loan. I told them I would be calling in to make my next payment when I got paid on Tuesday September 8th, the day after the Labor Day bank holiday. They said that would be acceptable and never mentioned that I would need to make a payment sooner. I called on the day they had agreed to for the payment, Tuesday September 8th, to make my payment. They said that I couldn't make the payment because they had assigned the loan for repossession. What??? I asked to speak to a manager about this and was told that a manager would call me by the end of the day. No one called. They tried to ignore me. The next day I had to call again and asked to speak to a manager. Again, I was told that a manager would call me by the end of the day. I finally received a call back. I have spoken to three people there about this situation, and they're all refusing to do anything about it or even admit that they've done anything wrong. They all just try to change the subject and talk about things that aren't even relevent to the situation. The last person I spoke to was Patty Chang, the Sr. Vice President of Risk and Operations. She talked about an auto loan that I paid off and a missed payment in May 2024, over 2 years ago, which has nothing to do with the current situation. She kept making up reasons and excuses instead of answering my complaint about their miscommunication, all of which doesn't explain why they lied to me when I first called to schedule the payment. No one will take accountability or be responsible for the situation they've put me in. Now I'm being penalized for their mistake. In the article I read, it said this can happen when someone who works at a loan company wants the opportunity to purchase a vehicle for a small fraction of it's normal value after it gets taken from the owner. They "arrange" for the property to be taken so they can buy it when it gets auctioned off. This is a SCAM! I didn't think a loan company could do something like that, but apparently they can. The higher levels of management in this organization need to know what they're doing to me. Someone needs to answer for this situation. I've been making payments on this loan for over 4 years, and now they're trying to take my vehicle with their scam.

The true test of an adviser is not how he behaves when markets are calm, but how he behaves when…read morehis client needs him. My advisory relationship with Wealth in Yourself ended on 1 June. On 4 June, the transfer of my retirement assets went wrong. My Roth IRA and rollover IRA were transferred into a taxable margin account. Because of the nature of the transfer, I understood that I had a limited period in which to correct the error before potentially severe tax consequences could arise. In order to initiate the recall process, I first had to verify my identity. The only method available to me was a call to a toll-free number. I was in the United Kingdom, where I normally reside, and was unable to use the firm's suggested workaround because it would not connect to toll-free numbers from that jurisdiction. Altruist suggested that my former adviser, Josh St. Laurent, arrange a brief three-way call so that the recall process could begin. He declined to do so. Instead, time was spent seeking alternative guidance that ultimately depended upon the same identity-verification procedure that I could not access. Twenty days of a sixty-day correction period elapsed before I was able to verify my identity myself. Ironically, I was able to do so only because I found an old international calling card in a handbag that I had brought with me from the United States years earlier. The assets were ultimately mostly restored. My concern is therefore not the existence of an error but the response to it. Prospective clients should satisfy themselves not only that their adviser has a sound investment philosophy, but also that they understand how that adviser responds when something goes wrong, how he interprets his obligations during a transition, and whether he is willing to exercise flexibility and judgement when a client's financial security depends upon it.

Just the worst.. Having been a customer for a couple years using the Carson and the Minden…read morelocations, I can say it's the worst bank I've ever dealt with, no doubt. Awful customer service, no call backs when requested, weird fees for not using my ATM at least 9 times per month and even worse when trying to close out my bank account and loan, (wanted $5 just to send a monthly statement after they shut off online access). Also annoying that as someone of Italian descent, they went woke and cancelled a Federal Holiday, (Columbus Day), and replaced it with Indigenous Day. (Gov. Joe Lombardo issued a proclamation designating Aug. 9 as Indigenous Peoples' Day in Nevada). When I asked about it on X support they blocked me lol.

I stopped by in passing to make a deposit and get a cashier's check. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes; 6-7 to be exact. Talk about service! Everyone was warm and inviting; definitely recommend this location. If you're looking to shop around for a mortgage or car rate; they can usually offer a better interest rate on your loan online. I love that if I have an issue; I'm able to send a message in my app to have most issues addressed with a guaranteed response within 24 hours from their customer service team. Most incidents I had were all answered by the end of day; I have only had to wait that long with the fraud department. GNCU is a bank that I feel values my time and I'll happily chose to keep my accounts here for years to come.

I told them I wasn't a client but asked if I could get more information as I had missed part of the braodcast. Their Marketing Director Nikki White invited me to come up and talk to Jeff Martin , one of their Financial Advisers, to analyze our situation during a free "Discovery" Session. I was instructed to complete a form that would give Jeff our financial picture and also to bring along our last 3 years of tax returns so he could best advise me. I double-checked again to make sure this was free and I was assured it was. When I arrived at their office I was greeted enthusiastically by their staff and then Jeff came out to meet me. Jeff spent over an hour going over our financials and tax returns and gave (again "gave" is the operant word since this was free) me great advice about upcoming tax law changes. Jeff is very knowledgable, professional, friendly, and pleasant. He listened patiently while I laid out our finances and only spoke for clarification. He then analyzed our situation and made some great suggestions. At then end of our time, I thanked him profusely and he assured me he was in this business to help people make good financial decisions and his reward was my thanks. Clearly Chris' management style & philosophy is evident all through the organization. What a wonderful & pleasant experience this was. If I was anywhere else in the stages of investing or planning for retirement, I would have signed up with this company. I highly recommend this firm.
