I bought a defective vape mod. They confirmed that the mod was in good condition and had been well cared for- it was only 3 months old. I brought it in to the shop hoping they could get it working again. They were screaming profanities across the store at each other- it was so loud it gave me a headache. After they told me they would not replace the defective item I said, "okay well I'm going to leave," and started walking out. As I was leaving the employee said, "I was trying to help you bitch, but you're walking away." I was shocked by the lack of respect. I will never go to this shop again and I will tell everyone I know how I was treated and how they do not stand behind their product. read more

Going in here for the first time, my first thought was, "wow, everyone that works here is incompetent." No one greets you unless they already know you. I just happened to be in the St. Charles area but I usually go to Coughing Cardinal on Manchester. It's genuinely like day and night. At CC, I am always greeted, whether they know me or not. I genuinely feel like the people at CC want to help me, unlike at the "Greatest" Shop. My complaint is this: I bought a $20 torch from Greatest Shop, only to have it constantly click and never catch light after a few uses. I called about this and was told that there was nothing they could do for a manufacturer's defect. 1. Do not sell products that are inferior. If they're not inferior and there really is a dupe, fix it. I'm willing to give you my business, you should make it right. You're the one selling the product that failed me. I bought from you, not the manufacturer; so, if there's an issue for me, YOU need to fix it then call the manufacturer yourself. 2. I've bought a cartridge battery from CC before, and the button stuck. It was also a manufacturer's defect and it's understandable they could not take it back, but they offered me 30% off of a new one. Don't shop at the greatest shop. Drive another 30 minutes and go to the Coughing Cardinal on Manchester. Way better service and staff. The pieces are actually even better and more intricate. You would not be disappointed with Coughing Cardinal, but you will be with the greatest shop. read more

When I first started shopping here, it was 2 guys, a couple cases of glass, and it was a discrete positive shopping experience. Now there are groups of kids out front in the parking lot, I got blown off by one staff and the one that actually helped me not only directed me toward purchasing a product with really bad quality control and known issues online but then said "oh we don't give receipts on cash purchases. Company has turned into a wal-mart experience with kill heroin dealer t-shirts, crowds of people, an outdated point of sale system, and poor customer service. I ended up giving the rather expensive electronic device to one of my employee's and purchasing a product direct online. I am a disabled combat veteran and a retail executive. I hope the owners realize that more money can simply mean more problems and I can imagine that the things I saw at the shop all common down to a much greater operations management issue. I do miss that little glass shop that opened up next to the vice all those years ago to make a difference...it is sad to see that they have become what they set out to end... read more

Really is a shame, The Shop used to be the place to go for all your smoking needs. I would visit weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. In the past couple years I've spent probably over $1,000 at the Shop. Well, they won't get a single cent anymore. I went in a few weeks ago to get a quartz banger and the employee went in the back and quickly grabbed two bangers that didn't at all fit what I was asking for. I told him those wouldn't work, he said ok and that's all he could do. Couldn't tell me when they'd get more or try to accommodate my request at all by offering a connector piece (the guys used to occasionally throw those in when they ran out of something or give a deal). I left, he was rude and didn't seem to really care about making the sale. I went in again today. Unfortunately, it was all the new guys working today. I again had a rude encounter which is partially my fault for forgetting my ID but there is still no need to be rude to a frequent customer. The guys who used to be there were so nice, now the workers who are there make me regret getting a strix vitro tattoo on my back. Anyway, I refuse to give money to people who are rude to me and also a lot of other customers. There's no need for rudeness. Plus, I've gone online, and gotten my name brand products cheaper both times, making me not really regret walking out on them. You can find a lot of deals for Cartas, vape mods, etc online. I saved $40 on an Erig today by buying it online, right after I left. I think it's safe to say the Shop is losing its name as the greatest shop ever. read more

Bought a Yocan Evolve Plus and the battery quit taking a charge, called them to see if they could do anything about it and they said to bring it up and they will take care of me if the battery was messed up. Drove 20 minutes to get there and he said the battery was bad but there was nothing he (same guy I talked to on phone) could do! Wasted 40 minutes of my day and gas for nothing!! Thanks a lot!
