Fortunately, we shared our concerns and they sent someone new to properly fix it. Real wood floors are not cheap! We're so grateful we found Reid's Home Repair for our big basement refinish project - great work…read moreand great humans! Our home was built in 1913 and gut rehabbed in 2024. However, the basement was not finished, but had rough-in plumbing installed. We were looking for someone to finish the basement (4 rooms total), including adding an additional bedroom with closet and full bathroom. This included all electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, door installation, flooring, trim, and painting. Mike was quick to respond to my original inquiry, come check out the space, and provide a quote. He was timely, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. We changed our mind a few times on final design - we appreciate how patient he was with us while we narrowed in on the final plan. The final quote was very detailed and he provided helpful information on the areas for potential cost increase (given that the home is old and there could have been unexpected things identified after work begun). This helped us set our expectations for the project. During the project, he kept us up to date on progress or concerns and kept the area very clean (ensuring very little debris made its way outside the basement into our home). He managed all of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, carpet, etc) so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Made it super easy by having one point of contact! His work speaks for itself. There were a lot of difficult aspects of the basement to figure out (i.e. uneven walls and ceilings, tricky vents or pipes along the ceiling, water/electrical shutoffs needing to be accessible, etc), but he managed to turn the space into exactly what we were looking for. The attention to detail makes all the difference! In the end, the project took about two months (including carpet installation) and final cost was in line with the estimate. Update 8/17/18: Once again, Justin Bowling came in and did a fantastic job for us. We needed our…read moretub and shower wall replaced as well as drywall, interior door, and brick work done. Not only was Justin the most reasonably priced out of all the estimates we got, but it only took around three days of work to do everything. Justin is very friendly, honest, and hardworking, and we are absolutely thrilled with the work he completed. If you need any work done, I can't recommend him enough. 1/30/18: I needed drywall, trim, and paneling replaced after a plumbing issue. I received a response from Justin within minutes of requesting a quote on Yelp. He was able to come out, give us an estimate, and get the work scheduled relatively easily. I thought he did a fantastic job. Justin was very polite, and did a great job explaining what he was going to do before he did it. Best of all, the final total came in under what he quotedMy fiancée and I were very pleased and will definitely be calling on Justin the next time we need something done.

This man Mike Pluckett is horrible, do not I repeat do not hire him for any work…read more I hired him to perform some projects at my rental that included staining a backyard fence.I have red rocks down next to the fence and the color of the fence that was needing re-stained was a reddish color he did not ask me and stained the fence a black color which did not match and looked horrible. This left me with the only choice of now having to paint it has I cannot stain a lighter color so essentially he ruined my fence at least changed the entire characteristic of it. He then became frustrated when after agreeing that he would paint when I wanted to choose a color. He chose a color on his own that was a yellow and when asked not to begin until we agree on a color he became infuriated and left with the other projects not yet completed and he still charged me. He has a horrible character and becomes very angry very easily with any critique of his work, Mike this is our home you do not get to be the primary decision-maker and you need to take time and listen to the homeowners that you are working with you have horrible customer service and I advise any users not to use your services. He started soon after the estimate which I thought was nice but was not imperative for my needs; however he immediately turned pretty labile in character as he constantly was complaining that my work was putting him behind schedule I suppose he should not have began as I did not demand he begin immediately.
