They have everything from weights to a pool, the pool is always staffed for safety, the front desk always has someone to help, they have a marathon coach and program, they offer walk throughs, and will help you with any machine you're curious about! The last star missing was for the outdated facility. Some areas look renovated, but over all the locker rooms, showers, pool area, and general over view is that it hasn't been updated since I visited in 1997 (or before) with my bff and her dad when I was 14.

Once we settled in, she introduced herself and asked if there was anything we'd like to work on after the weekend, setting a conversational tone from the very beginning. * Classic Yoga Class: We began in Child's Pose before gradually climbing into one long, continuous flow. The sequencing was smooth & accessible, with options available for those wanting more challenge, including Flying Splits from Chaturanga. After the flow portion, we moved into core work, balancing poses, and eventually grounded stretching before settling into savasana with a cold, wet towel placed in the palm of our hand. Chelsea primarily used English cues with occasional Sanskrit & demonstrated most of the postures throughout class (approachable for new students & challenging enough for experienced practitioners). * The Heat: Warm, not hot. Just enough warmth to get the body moving. I gathered a light sweat - nothing shower-worthy - but enough to feel awake and energized for the day. * Tribe: Friendly. Familiar. Multi-generational. One of my favorite surprises was seeing pre-teens practicing alongside adults. It was my first time flowing with young yogis, and honestly, it was a treat. I love seeing yoga reach our youth! The community felt established without feeling exclusive. Newcomers (voilà--me) were welcomed with ease, while regulars seemed genuinely connected. * What Lives Here? Healthy movement. Consistency. Community. (That was pretty palpable.) * Space & Place: Bright. Open. Inviting. We discovered the playground at Jacobson Plaza within the first two days here and thank goodness, because it is fantastic. There are three different play structures and even smaller play areas for even younger children. From what a local resident told me, it only opened within the last year, and you can tell. Everything is in great shape and is obviously up to every safety code. There are three of those little zip line tracks as well which, let me tell you, are fun for everyone- kids and adults. It's really cool to watch everyone play together. On the other side of a fence is the Falls, next to it is a splash pad and next to that is a Grill- all within the same safe, spacious parking lot. So when you're done playing and are hungry, check out the grill, and then across the street get some cotton candy at The Candy Cloud Factory. Your kid will love it here, and there's plenty of seats with awnings for parents (and aunts!)

After meeting George and Angelo boy was I glad to have my son train with them. Both are some good guys from Rhode Island. Very honest and genuine. They actually care and love what they are doing. Tough love is what you get but that's part of the game. Prices are very fair. We signed up for month to month plan for 150 month and that includes 4 days a week of training. If you pre-pay for several months in advance the monthly price drops. Parking is usually good and is available right in front of the gym. Seating is also available inside for parents to watch their kids. If you or your kids looking to get in shape or are serious about boxing give George a call. You won't regret it!

The gym has a combination of fighters and weekend warriors of all ages and fitness levels. Everyone is supported and made to feel welcome. The head trainer George is a great teacher and motivator. He knows boxing and knows how to adjust his teaching for students with different levels of experience (or no experience). I've trained at gyms in Boston, Rhode Island, and New York City but this is by far my favorite place due to the personal attention and positive atmosphere. They also have legendary Kenyan boxer David Kamau here helping out and training. In addition to being a great boxer, he's one of the most positive people I've ever meet . I walked in and took the free class they offer, got in a killer workout, reworked my jab, and signed up immediately after.
