A lot of trees (hence the name). Better hit it straight here. Right next to the airport so can be loud at times. There is 27 holes here although I suggest not playing the east nine unless you are a 20 or more hndcp. Just not kept up as nice as the rest. Fun course though. Will challenge you.

I've also never played where sand traps have railroad ties on the side of them. The party ahead of us was a five some. I hit a ball over two hundred and seventy yards down the fairway, and it went over the slope the five son circled back and apparently picked up my ball. They run the sprinklers down the fairway.So when you do hit a ball, you have to wait for the sprinklers, to clear, run out, grab your ball and take it off to the side. Sioux Falls is a lively, vibing town with a number of local venues worth checking them out and the country club is one of them! The service was top notch and super personable! The charcuterie board could have been more inspired, the cheese selection left an unsatisfying experience and the lobster bisque was a bit (but still yummy) watery, but the mussels, scallops and steaks were perfectly cooked. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely go back and invite local friend or family to join me!

They have a full bar with a wide array of specialty cocktails. The food at Windows is always superb. You get to sit in a large dining room with floor to ceiling window s that provide breathtaking views over the golf course. The menu is constantly changing based on ingredients. I've never had a meal here that was less than spectacular. The waiters and waitresses are particularly helpful. Shoutout to Brittany for always giving me meal recommendations, and telling me what to choose and what to avoid! Dining at Windows is always one of the highlights of my visits to Sioux Falls. Kudos to them. Tip: ask the pro shop to tell you what hole was once rated as a top 18 hole in the state of South Dakota. It is one of the back 9 holes (I think), and it is about 70 yards... good luck on that tiny, two tiered green. Tip: Carts are available. It is very flat and easily walked, but why spoil a nice round of golf with a walk?

They did not think I should need to buy tickets in advance. I asked about indoor/outdoor passes and they told me they were available. I called again the day off to confirm and they told me different hours, but that yes, the outdoor attractions were open starting at 4-8pm. We arrived and they would only sell us indoor passes and we had to buy single use go-kart passes and weren't allowed mini-golf. Then later we saw people on the mini-golf course. It seems you get charged different rates and given different activities based on who you talk to at any given minute. We had waited and made plans with other families and friends for a big day with our kids, and they couldn't get their act together. It was more than frustrating and disappointing to all the adults and kids alike. My husband is pretty sure it isn't worth the time and money after this experience. In the end, the kids had fun despite the let down of not getting what we were promised.

I recently broke my driver shaft and brought it to Austad's to get it replaced. I figured I may as…read morewell replace my shaft with as close of a match to my old shaft as possible; so I duplicated the stiffness and weight. Within a reasonable amount of time (~3 days), the new setup was ready, so I picked it up (~$150) and brought it to the course. After a couple of rounds, I could tell something was off. My driver is my best club and it simply didn't perform or feel how it used to. With concern that I had made the wrong choice of shaft, I brought it back into Austad's and explained what was going wrong. I ended up getting help from Justin, who took me to a simulator and spent about 45 minutes with me. We tweaked different settings on the driver, gathered data, and determined the best setup to compliment the new shaft. I could tell Justin was extremely knowledgeable about fittings and he did an amazing job explaining his suspicions. Justin and I ended up finding a setting that worked and felt perfect; he even re-adjusted my grip because we changed the loft of the driver. Overall, I was blown away from the service I received, all at no extra cost. Big shoutout to Justin and Austad's; I am a very pleased customer.
