Extremely friendly and they always keep up with changes which seem daily as administrations change they are on top of making sure they have the latest information needed to ease your mind, especially when it comes to tax services, when we are in the era of it's now a real pain to try to due taxes on your own ,there are just to many changes and if your unaware of the changes you could be loosing some serious deductions so these ladies are family owned, mother and daughter team and work so hard to make sure your services are done right and on time, put it this way after going to the big guys and spending 1000's for services and then walking out the door and wondering if you really got your money's worth. Now I walk out the door knowing exactly what I was eligible for and they go over and above to make sure you understand the services they provided for you, so please go to the best, as there is to much to loose with the rest !

In the beginning of hiring Jen to do my payroll/accounting/monthly bookkeeping, etc she was great. Always on time, always very helpful. In fact, her company was so great that I referred SEVERAL friends and family members to her. All to eventually be let down and basically left stranded... Come tax time this past year, everything became a disaster. Even a month leading up, I would text, call, email with no response. Next thing I know she is very very ill. I reach out to let her know I am here for her and to keep me posted. That's when I was ghosted. Never heard from her again, panicking that my taxes weren't going to be done on time, that my business was going to fall behind in book keeping, etc. Same with all my friends and family members! Most of which ended up having to have filed extensions for their taxes or pick up their taxes and bring to someone else. I made multiple appts at her office in the coming weeks to be able to stop by to give her some of my bookeeping info & sign off on taxes...I would show up and "all her employees left early that day" and couldn't wait for my SCHEDULED appt. When they have it posted everywhere that they are in office for appts only!! Finally enough was enough and I had to do what was right for my business and I asked for my stuff to be returned to me and I was on the hunt for a new accountant. Found a great cpa, who reached out to Jen SEVERAL times to get caught up on important info regarding payroll, quickbooks info etc & Jen would just ignore her. Finally we got ahold of her and all Jen would say is "good luck with her and her family, they never send anything in in time." and then THREATENED my new accountant by saying she would press charges if she ran a payroll under her subscription. Meanwhile, I hadn't gotten paid in well over a month bc of Jen's inability to stay caught up with her clients. -it's important to note here that my family and I were trash talked for no particular reason other than Jen was mad we left her business, I have a ridiculous amount of texts from her that I was her best client because I was ALWAYS on time and ahead of the game- doing whatever I could to make her job easier. The best part is a couple weeks later my new accountant finds out she was never filing a very important form to the state regarding un-employment taxes. So now I am left with over $900 in penalty fees and interest because of her lack of work. I have reached out to Jen several times to discuss with her and instead she just wants to argue with me and not take responsibility for her actions. Next thing I know I'm blocked and can't reach her. Now I have to settle things in court. Today, my MIL gets a notice in the mail that she owes money to the IRS for filing her taxes late... but Jen told her she filed her an extension months ago!! Yeah right! There have been multiple occasions where I felt like my information did not stay confidential in her office. For example, when she was sick, she had her daughter text me what my business owed to the IRS... which is all to be CONFIDENTIAL info and only shared with the CPA's of the firm. She hires employees that have no idea what they are doing and everything just gets screwed up! Save your time and do NOT use Shaw account management.

They are great people that is no doubt. Michael in our initial interview told me he had tons of experience in a certain area concerning my taxes and unique needs. I sent him a text he responded, he requested a meeting and right before our meeting canceled because he said he wasn't doing that kind of work anymore. I asked for a referral none. I also asked him to explain his expertise and he canceled. This company did nothing for me in relation to my money and financial needs except waste my time. I give 5 stars in selling themselves. 1 star in actually doing what they sell and not being intimidated to clarify their experience and expertise. Who I do business with has no problem being asked those questions and I have never had someone cancel a meeting because of this after bragging about how good they were at it. It's your money this just my experience. Thank you for your Response. However, you asked for the meeting, then sent me an email saying you were stepping back from my circumstances that require special consideration after I scheduled it. The only reason you were considered was because you and your wife in our initial call bragged about that you brought that to the table... so it's confusing why you stated that, asked for a meeting and then canceled by email. I am fine in fact happy to not have that someone who makes erratic business decisions taking care of my taxes and specialized needs. Yes of course you were paid nothing. Thank you and good luck.

I would not describe a big white hat as professional. That was nothing compared to the next 30 minutes. At first I felt this may be a good fit. I already had my Trust, Will, Living Will, Power of Attorney, etc documents in place. Ms. Palumbo asked me a couple questions and I was answering and suddenly she said loudly, "Let's play a game.". I replied "ok, I like games". And she loudly in my face said, "I'M THE ATTORNEY". I was stunned into silence. And twice, she pointed to a file drawer and asked me, "Do you know what's in here?". I of course said no....and she again loudly said, WELL I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS ALL THIS EITHER. I have NO idea what I did to provoke her. At that point I should have said, Give me all my documents, I am getting the hell out of here". She insulted me too many times and I admit, it threw me into a state of such shock that I was to emotionally paralyzed to speak. I proceeded to consent to have her do a Health Surrogate form for me and a new appointment was made for the end of June. I went home, recovered and realized I could never face that woman again so I terminated the relationship which had barely begun. I picked up my documents and got a refund for the form which hadn't been done yet. I am very disappointed because her location was perfect for me but none of that mattered. I worked in the school system 16 years and I had a lot of training in how to deal with students, parents, and people in general. I knew her behavior would not change and there was no way I was going to enter an office to be insulted, offended, and treated like I was stupid. The young woman Courtney in her office was so nice and she had only been there 3 weeks. When I called to schedule document pick up time I asked for her and was told she was not there. There is one other review and its a very professionally written letter from a former employee and she mentions high turnover in that office. Oh boy, now I know why. My biggest mistake, and I own it, is that I didn't check her out more before going there the first time. I will say, the man that returned my documents was so nice. If only he was an attorney in that office. I've decided to stay with the same attorney I've had for many years even tho his location isn't quite as convenient. Honestly, I'd drive 100 miles to a nice attorney than one mile to Ms. Palumbo's office. After I left there, even though I had barely spent one hour total with her, I felt like a released hostage.
