We stopped in for lunch (we heard line ups at dinner are huge) - I ordered the ravioli special of the day and my fiancée ordered a lunch salad. The ravioli was incredible. It was laden with beef tenderloin and veggies galore in a rose sauce that I had to dip my bread in to sop up all of the pieces. My fiancées salad was equally insane. It was almost like a pasta sauce on a hearty garden salad that was very tasty. The meals leave you more than satisfied. The pasta doesn't leave you with that heavy pasta dinner feeling with the good mix of veggies that came with the pasta and the salad feeling like you should have ordered a pasta if you ordered the salad with the hearty meat and appropriate level of dressing on it. We topped it off with the pecan flan which is best described as a pecan pie. Not house made but sooo good. We're coming back tomorrow with the kids. Seriously.

The food I can still taste wanting more. Desert we had the Taramasu wow the presentation around the cake beautiful and the Taramasu heavenly, We all will be back.

The three restaurants in Powassan we attempted to visit were closed or takeout only. Second efforts revealed this little gem upon my search via Yelp. So a few things to note as I write this, the restaurant has 10 tables, including three booths, patio and probably seating for 34 people max, most seats have butts in them minus the patio. Upon arrival, we were told that service to each would take at least half an hour. However the server (who turned out to be the owner) put a rush order in for fries for the kids. Nat bad at all they were fresh. The kids ordered fingers, I ordered the double fish and chips. The fingers, were definitely some Sysco product that were well, Okish. Slightly above average from a frozen box. The fish ended up being haddock which was above my expectations and my daughter who isn't a big fan, loved it. The missed opportunity here is to source some local Bass or Walleye, and do it up in that solid panko they were using. The wait for food was unbearably long. I'm going to assume that the owner and cook (even though I saw two other employees) were not accustomed to being this busy. Maybe the equipment was not intended for that volume of people in a short span. The owner was very kind, she unfortunately wasn't on top of getting water for the kids or topping up my coffee. In the end the slow service was the worst part, a 2.75 to 3 the food a solid 4, the customer service was a 4.75, Mixed bag, but was made positive.

Greco's has fantastic pizza (love the cornmeal on the bottom of the crust) and really good meat pasta (I ordered for my son, but I ended up eating most of it...so good). They also offer gluten free options, which is fantastic. Recently, we did a fundraiser at our school and Greco's was more than happy to help out. I was actually shocked, since most businesses turned us down. Thank you so much, Greco's! read more

The lakeshore drive location has vastly improved with the new owners bringing new life to the restaurant. The newly renovated dining room along with upbeat service has made it a place to go. The new owners have incorporated some of their own italian recepies passed from generation of generation of italian ancestories. read more

Greco's on Algonquin is miles better than the one on Lakeshore. The service is always great. The only downside I can think of is the inconsistency with the pizza. It all depends on who's working the ovens. read more
