Trust is something earned, and something that can be totally lost. O2B Boynton Beach lost my trust, my husband's trust, my extended families trust and several other families as well. My son started 02B West Boynton in September last year shortly after his first birthday. At the time I felt very welcomed, my child felt welcomed, and I thought he would be safe. That changed following very unfortunate situations that could've been completely avoidable. We had to pull our son out of O2B immediately following two incidences, including a a non-verbal child being lost and alone. Found my his mother in an empty classroom. (DCF was involved and school was reprimanded greatly, new protocols were put into place ect. (you know like safety!) And my child was sent home with fecal matter crusted to his genitals over six hours after he had a bowel movement. These are just two incidents of many, but the last straw to the mother/family of a young toddler. Our son is our world, and if you want quality childcare where your child is safe, cared for and protected- DONT enroll at O2B. Here are some key points on what to expect at O2B: -School looks welcoming, fun and colorful and very inviting. Bubbles and music greet you. Fun activities sprinkled throughout the year. Real enticing. -Nearly daily upon arrival, parents will come up to the front stating the teacher is not in the room they're supposed to be in or that the teacher is not there at all. -There's a hoard of cleaning products on a shelf in the children's restroom in the hallway. Accessible for students. This bathroom is 1000% utilized by children during the day mostly VPK. -In less than a year our son had over 20 teachers because the turnaround rate at that school is enough to be concerned about alone. One of the teachers had a complete nervous breakdown in front of our children and was removed from the two year-old room and put in a classroom with older students. And gossip from staff is seen, a heard. -My son nearly had his finger broken in half because a teacher wasn't paying attention and closed a commercial grad impact rated door on his finger leading from the classroom outside. His teacher told me it was bleeding everywhere, yet other staff member said it was a tiny cut. When I got there, it was a large laceration. -Head injuries are daily occurrence at the school, just be prepared for them to tell you that your child came to school with a goose egg on their head, bite marks on their shoulder blades, and bruises randomly. -White gates that are RARLY closed or locked (locking mechanism engaged). -Unapproved/violation inducing retractable gates that are in code violation for fire safety corralling the children away from the doors in the younger classrooms. These items are cleverly, not engaged or removed before the DCF and health dept inspections. It's always interesting to watch someone sweat a few days and during an evaluation from these outsourced entities. The school always be up to par with DCF and health department? You would completely assume that the answer would be yes! -We were under the total expectation that the children have a white binder that goes home at the end of the year showing their progression and work. When we left, there was literally three pieces of paper in it that were completed and everything else was blank. What type of progress is that I was told during my two viewings of the school that this was a very big part of the curriculum, I guess they forgot.? -Excuses upon excuses is what the staff, director- Carlee, assistant director - Daniella (deer in headlights), and the 3rd in charge (forgot her name). Nothing but excuses and half *ss apologies for lack of safety and supervision. Jessica, the school manager or supervisor, does not make herself known or her position known. She does not thrive in a confrontational environment, especially when they have no more excuses to give. -I have far too many instances, action reports, instant reports to even discuss. There is no reason why any parent want their child or children to go to O2B kids in West Boynton Beach. There are better options. We were very lucky to find an incredible school, where our son is absolutely thriving in a safe, loving, and educationally driven environment. I waited a year to post this because I want to make sure it wasn't an issue, making sure I wasn't looking into things that didn't exist. But O2B is perfectly clear. It's a Monet. It is a dumpster fire. And it is unsafe. I was in the education system for over 15 years for the Palm Beach County school district. Our children deserve better than this.

STMA is more than a school they are a family. Every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure the best for your children. Our oldest son graduated from VPK in 2019 the same year our youngest son was born. In the middle of Covid we found ourselves lost with not being able to find a early ed school for our middle son that was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 1. After just one phone call STMA opened their doors and hearts to our middle son and welcomed him and ensured that he was given the same opportunities as every other child when other schools were not willing to grant him the same opportunity. When it came time to choosing a school for our youngest to attend there was no question as to where to enroll him. My family can never thank all of the staff at STMA enough, Any family that has the opportunity to have their children attend this school should take it with open arms, you will not regret it. My son came from an at home daycare and was learning to adjust to this new school environment and the teachers lacked compassion, or even the decency to try and help my son adjust. Instead, they decided to say we should take my son elsewhere to adjust and then we could bring him back when he's adjusted to the school environment. And let me tell you, that will never happen. For the amount we paid, the least they could do was show compassion to the new student who is new to the school environment. But instead, they said "the teachers don't have time to help just one child". Never once was there violence, or bad behavior towards other children but my child was asked to leave because he did not adjust as fast as they wanted. So again, if your child is not perfect, I do not recommend this daycare.

The children are encouraged to have complete autonomy in choosing how they would like to explore the spaces. Angie was very attentive, always making sure the stations were refilled and mindful with all of the different play areas that she set up for the space. It's a very cute space and a great introduction to start thinking if perhaps you'd like to send your child to Coco Plum nature school for schooling someday . I gave it a four stars because it is smaller and slightly less time as some of the other facilities offered in the area which are priced at the same amount. And the mud kitchen was too high for the children to use no stepstool provided for them to reach. Tables for the crafts were also regular sized, which could work for older children, but smaller table sets with seats for children could potentially be better. However, it makes sense why they don't have these things as the school starts at kindergarten and the nature taught is a once a month occurrence. Overall, it was a fun morning and we will still return.

This unique approach has fostered my son's independence, thoughtfulness, and confidence. He's not only curious but also eager to share what he's learned. I also want to highlight the incredible leadership at the school, which is founded and run by two remarkable women. Melanie, the executive director, exudes a pleasant demeanor and brings a calming energy that the kids adore. Fernanda, the other founder, focuses on the curriculum, taking the time to genuinely listen to the children and connect with them on their level. Her approach encourages various forms of creative play and learning; she's like the Latina Miss. Frizzle! Being Mexican, Fernanda also incorporates a significant amount of Spanish in the classrooms, which is important to me since I speak Spanish at home. The teachers are wonderful and trained in the Conscious Discipline method. In teaching, they are observant and facilitate learning by tapping into each child's curiosity. An example from the other day: In Kindergarten, the kids were read a funny book. They were so excited by it that they took it upon themselves to rewrite the words and phrases from the book. When I was a kid, we were forced to write out sentences from books, but in my son's class, the kids WANT TO :) ! A few times a week, the teachers share anecdotes and photos on an app, which are linked to various learning objectives. While the school is play-based and creative, they do assess levels of competence across various subjects on a quarterly basis. This is something only the parents see and not the students, unlike traditional schools where kids are shown their report cards. It brings me great comfort knowing that my child is in incredibly capable hands and surrounded by kind and caring children and adults, eliminating the need for me to constantly hover over him. Truly, it's a fantastic school. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the small class sizes, which is a huge plus!

I visited more schools in the span of a couple of weeks than I can recount. I was focused on finding somewhere that had everything I was looking for, but mainly I wanted to find somewhere with the right atmosphere, which turned out to be more difficult than I ever could have imagined. The things I saw before this school - yikes. This specific location of The Learning Place Preschool was just LOVE at first meet. The facility was sparkling clean and smelled fresh, unlike a lot of others I visited that smelled of bleach to cover up smells. The toys and play equipment were all in great shape and clean unlike others. The kids were so happy too. ALL of the staff was welcoming. Every single one. They were kind and paid attention and they ALL seemed to genuinely enjoy interacting with all the kids. Ms Jessica, the Director, answered all of my questions and was incredibly knowledgeable about education and helped to quell a lot of my anxiety. They ALL made the transition for my daughter is gentle and as easy as possible. They prepped me on what to expect and how to best transition her. They stayed with her every step of the way through the tears and made my daughter feel safe and loved. She's now excited to go to school every day and every day is 'the best day ever' when I pick her up. She eats breakfast and lunch there each day and is now eating and enjoying new foods that she refused to try before! The school offers onsite Karate and Dance classes provided by reputable local companies as a super affordable add on option that both my daughter and I love! It's so convenient that she is able to participate during school. The school is also incredibly affordable compared to others and offers so much more for your money. I was shocked in the best of ways. The staff continues to be kind and compassionate every day and I am so grateful! Ms Luisa, Ms Amanda and the director Ms. Jessica are just angels!
