The Green Bay Packers are one of the all-time great NFL franchises. The Packers have won four Super Bowls (1967, 1968, 1997, 2011) and currently have the best all-time win percentages in both the regular season (782-581; .572) and regular season + playoffs combined (818-606; .573) among all 32 NFL teams. Only four teams have more Super Bowl titles: the Patriots (6), Steelers (6), Cowboys (5), and 49ers (5). The Packers remind me of my favorite NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs, in terms of a consistent championship-winning franchise built in a relatively smaller city/market. The Packers' winning longevity has extended well beyond the Spurs, however. Green Bay's history goes deep. This is the third-oldest active franchise in the NFL. The Packers played their first season in 1921. Only the Arizona Cardinals (1920) and Chicago Bears (1920) are older. Before the NFL merged with the AFL in 1970, the Packers won a record 11 NFL championships. They also won the first two Super Bowls. The Packers' first head coach was Curly Lambeau for whom Lambeau Field was named after. Lambeau coached the Packers from the 1920 to 1949 seasons and won six NFL championships. My dream finally came true... Finally got to step my foot inside this beautiful stadium... The holy grail stadium in the NFL! The most historic stadium! The fans here are very passionate about the green bay Packers. I've been a Packers fan since 1993 and I have always wanted to come here... I also met one random guy, whose name is graham on the shuttle bus to greenbay... A season ticket holder.. had one extra ticket, but normally he saves that extra seat for his late passed father.. and he asked me if I wanted to sit next to him.. I kindly declined but he insisted.. this dude is so kind hearted and most nicest and coolest human being I have ever met. His seats were amazing.. I told him, that I will buy him whatever food he wants to eat at the stadium and beer..he gave me a little history and tour of lambeau field.... Graham literally asked a stranger he just met on the bus and asked if he wanted to sit next to his empty seat since it was my first time here lambeau field. Simply put, a world-class and iconic organization. I've had respect for the Packer organization before, yet after seeing how everything is setup between the Don Hutson Center as well as Lambeau Field, my respect has increased ten-fold. The atrium at Lambeau? One very good idea that is a certain revenue generator for 365 days of the year. The Don Hutson Center? What a remarkable area to have not just for the team, but also for fans and locals to interact and truly get involved with the team on a perpetual basis. I say perpetual in the sense that the affiliation with the team never ends after the season is over. There is a connection to this team that is not normally felt among many other sports organizations. The Packers are truly unique. There is no wonder why they are 13-time world champions. The Green Bay Packers are awesome and I'm a Wisconsin homer, so never mind my bias, please. They have a strong tradition in being one of the older teams in the NFL, from their humble beginnings as a team that could only get sponsored by a local meat packing plant to their status today as a community-owned powerhouse, with many ups and downs, but with a loyal fanbase. Plus the whole "Frozen Tundra" mythology of Lambeau Field is the stuff of legends and hyperbole. I'm a bit of sucker for the community-owned deal, even though it is a bit of a scam (high taxes in the county, basically worthless stocks), but at least it guarantees that the team will stay in Green Bay, unlike almost every other team in the league that threatens to move if the city doesn't build them the stadium that they demand. So, they'll always be the Green Bay Packers and not the Insert-Mercenary-City-Name-Here Packers. Lombardi had a great tenure in the 1950s and 1960s, producing winning teams with a strict, but mostly fair, approach to coaching. He cared about his players and the team's well-being. He cared for the underdogs and showed a remarkable amount of tolerance in the 1960s and early 1970s toward minorities and players in the LGBT community, a tolerance that is still mostly unrivaled today in the very hetero-normative and overly masculine culture of the NFL in the 2010s. The Packers of the 70s and 80s were mostly a sad affair, with losing records and the infamy of such things as Charles Martin slamming Bears QB Jim McMahon to the turf. Enter the 90s and the Holmgren / Favre era, a mostly successful time. 2000s were fairly good, though things are tapering down toward the end of the 2010s, though hope springs eternal with new head coach Matt Lafleur. We'll see where that goes and remain loyal to the team, even if we might end up saying, "Cram it in your cramhole, Lafleur!" I haven't liked some of their recent or recently former players, such as Clay Matthews or the snowflake, prima-donna attitude of Aaron Rodgers (though he's a darned good quarterback!) or former head coach Mike McCarthy, but as a whole, the players and coaches are likeable and respectable, and relatively scandal-free. I leave with these closing poetic words from a wise philosopher: "When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the Pack survives!" I grew up in Northwest Iowa and often went to the Twin Cities to cheer on my beloved Purple People Eaters at the old outdoor Metropolitan Stadium. The best games were in the dead of Winter against the Green Bay Packers. Wisconsin is also only a few miles away from the Twin Cities and even Home Team fans needed to be careful if caught in the middle of a Packers fan section. At the same time, Mom was born and raised in Milwaukee, so the "Green and Gold" weren't totally evil. The Packers are the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the United States. And when I new batch of stock was recently put on the market, I plunked down my $250 for a single share of ownership. Proceeds from the stock sale will be used for $143 million in expansion and improvement projects at Lambeau Field. The team will add 7,000 seats, new scoreboards, a new sound system, new entrances and new elevators. Now how cool is that? And yet I'm still a Vikings Fan! read more

I dislike the Colts a lot for this reason too, but moreso because they have lots of other non-redeeming qualities, so they get a 1/5. Anyway if you're in Wisconsin... (a) in Green Bay try the dumplings and especially the Chili at Kroll's East. Forget Kroll's West. I know it's by the stadium but forget it. (b) in Oshkosh head down to Menosha and try Mihm's Burgers. The best butter burgers you'll ever eat. (c) in Sheboygan head over to Charcoal Inn South and try Butter Brats - omg. (d) in Milwaukee try Leon's Frozen Custard, original location, get the custard and get a banana shake. Thank me later. Omg! We did the Tundra Trio homes. This is absolutely the way to do Lambeau. They had everything set up and ready to go for the Packers vs Seahawks game. MillerCoors had two of the homes and it was amazing. They had it fully catered, multiple bartenders and plenty of hosts to take care of the guests. We came from Las Vegas for our very first Lambeau game. The customer service and attention to detail by the employees of the Tundra Trio was one of the best I've ever seen. I wish more people in the customer service industry in Vegas would raise the bar to what the trio provides... I want to go back now!!!! read more

-Parking- Parking was a bit of a pain because there is little parking space at the stadium so you end up parking at local business witch isn't bad because with 80,000 people in one spot being close means it takes forever to leave. -Leaving (Driving)- If you plan on just driving away your going to be wrong. Everyone is funneled out in designated areas so i suggest you have a GPS to find your way home. Plan on spending $15-$20 for parking -Price- I think it was $7.50 a beer so that is pretty normal for a stadium and the tickets are generally $175+. Normal pro shop where things are crazy expensive. -Seating- You sorta get squished together so Spend the extra $6 per seat to attach to the bench so you can have the amount of room your suppose to have. Plus having a back rest means nobody is kneeing you in the back and its more comfy then a hard bench with no back support. -Family oriented?- Its a football stadium so if your a stuck up parent don't bring your kids because people are drinking and swearing... witch makes it fun! Overall this is one of the best stadiums i have ever been too! Great experience but bring your pocketbook!! read more

This team is incredible. Favre is amazing. The fans will sit in 20 below weather to catch a game and lose feeling in fingers and toes...and won't go home until it's over...winning OR losing! There is so much heart and soul in this team, the city of Green Bay, Lambeau Field, and the fans, that you don't even have to be a Cheesehead to get caught up in the moment. If you are a football fan, especially one of the Packers, you NEED to go on the Lambeau Field tour. Don't worry about paying the upcharge for the champions tour (or whatever it's called) the best bang for your buck is the regular tour for $11. They'll give you a history of the team/stadium in the atrium, take you up to a suite, and then......down on the field. You'll get to walk through the same tunnel that the Packers players walk through, and into the endzone to be standing next to the field......this was my 4th time on the tour and I still get teary eyed and goosebumps every time the door opens and you can walk of the tunnel with nothing but Lambeau Field in front of you. The best $11 you can spend in Green Bay, hands down. read more

So many sports teams are in these big cities, and little Green Bay is blessed to have a professional football team. What makes it great is that they're not owned by a Jerry Jones or Robert Kraft, it's owned by the community! This city cares about what happens to the Packers. Really disappointed in my Green Bay Packers experience. My wife and I spent a huge amount of money to bring our son for his Senior High trip to a Packers Game (we also did the Hall of Fame - which was awesome). He is the Packers fan and so we wanted to bless him. Disappointed to find that one of the oldest teams in the NFL was driven by a desire to get their coach fired and played just for that purpose. It was obvious that the team was out there to lose and force the coach to be released. Also floored by the manipulation in the consession stand - they were out of hot chocolate cups and offered to dispense it in the commemorate cup at $14 a cup! Note that it was in the 20's for temperature at the game. My son ordered a burger and asked for ti be plain - yep, we got it plain alright - when we opened the wrapping, it was just the meat - not even a bun! Not going to mention who I am a fan of, but suffice it to say there was no competition to cause me to consider becoming a Packer fan. read more
