Our choices for dinner (day before reservation) were seating at 6:15 or earlier or 9:15 or later so reservations well in advance are recommended. We started with cocktails (& they had a few creations) & had a "Buried in Sand" and a "Holy Mule-" Both excellent! Our server was helpful & made some wonderful suggestions once she found out it was our first visit. All the dishes (small & large) are great for sharing. As it seemed a staple of the menu (that changes daily) as well one of their specialties we decided to start with the Bastard Planka. A nice variety of house cured ham, salami, chorizo, pate & pickles-one of the best I've ever had. Also ordered the Klemmings Oysters as our second starter. So fresh, salty & exquisite! For main we ordered the Cod & the Munka Pork (as Pork is their specialty). Cod was cooked to perfection and the Pork had a crust that took it to another level. Both dishes were amazing! We finished with the Pistachio Ice Cream and Paris -Brest. Loved them both but the Paris-Brest is a must try! My only regret is not getting here sooner. Wonderful vibe with great service! They also have a bar area (open kitchen) where you can grab a seat to try some of the entrees or just have a cocktail, beer or glass of wine if they are fully booked. Will definitely be back. For main, although I haven't had good luck with Duck in other restaurants (overcooked, dry, no flavor, etc.), I took a chance based on recommendation and ordered the Confit de Canard with seasoned potatoes & Foie Gras. The Duck leg was exquisite! So rich & decadent! I was offered some flavored salts but didn't need them as the Canard was seasoned perfectly. The potatoes were also excellent! The Foie Gras was a seared piece topping & very good. I didn't want this meal to end! Paired it with a Matten (French) Cuvée beer which had an Amber color & was light & refreshing. The owner (Baba maybe) was adorable. He was super acommodating and every time he walked past he would give us a big bright smile and ask if everything was ok or if we wanted something else. He served us personally most of the time and helped us carry out our soup bowls and coffee cups. Very nice, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Rows and rows of different vegetables, a huge cool section for meat, their own fishmongers and butchers - and so many different brands and even for people with allergy or just vegans. Swedish supermarkets know to cater them all. My favourite buys from this place? The fresh Asian veggies, the seafood and the cheese in tubes... and oh, the Swedish prepackaged meatballs. LOL Whenever you are in Malmö for a shopping run, do your groceries at the same time!

I personally am not a fan of buffets but my husband is Lebanese-Armenian & doesn't mind buffets & always wants Lebanese food when it's an option. I was a little apprehensive when we walked in because the hostess & waitresses were Swedish, but then I heard Arabic music & noticed the staff coming in/out of the kitchen to stock the food was speaking Arabic so I knew the food would be ok. My favorite items were the wrapped grape leaves & mini desserts. My grandmother & aunts used to make a lot of the same desserts so the flavors were very nostalgic & comforting. I can also appreciate how they had managed to make tiny delicate bite sized portions of each. I was impressed by that because these desserts are so intricate & difficult to make so making them into tinier pieces can't be easy. We had a lovely meal at Laziza and enjoyed our visit.

One of the guests was finishing food at 12:10 when we were approached by the waitress telling that the restaurant has 1 hr dine-in policy. Then the same waitress came back after 2 minutes telling me that "I have guests waiting outside." I was never aware of this policy and if this is a new one, no one told us at the cashier (By the way, the lady at the cashier was more accommodating). I was embarrassed that we were the only table and customers treated that way. This is frustrating that the waitress at Dockan branch was mainly targetting us and I was embarassed by this attitude with other customers looking at us. Also, we found that seats outside were available. I hope that the restaurant can look into this and train the staff to communicate properly with guests. Your food is no doubt highly recommended and other staff were warm and polite. However, this waitress telling us customers (who were obviously chewing last spoonful of food and the other having coffee) to leave the place twice in a span of 2 minutes was very rude. We left the place around 12:15.
