One day I tried the latte and the other I ordered plain black coffee because I'm one of those weirdos who does enjoy how coffee tastes by itself, especially if it is quality. Love Coffee Roasters is definitely quality coffee. My mood switches between desiring real coffee (black) and what I call foofoolala coffee (various sugar), and I appreciate a place that can do both well. Thank you, Love Coffee Roasters! Once I stepped into the shop, I was immediately greeted and given time to peruse the menu before making up my mind. The barista had me taken care of in no time, and I headed out onto the beautiful patio to savor the aromas of freshly ground coffee. Mmmm. One time I was even out there alone, much to my personal enjoyment. Just me and the many hanging plants. Neither time did I purchase a snack, as I had been elsewhere for a meal, snacks, or a pastry. (Speaking of pastries, try the cardamom twist at St. Jacob's bakery!) Of course, by the time of my visit each day the baked goods were slim pickings. Much expected. I loved this coffee shop and it's quaint little patio, and will definitely come back next time I visit. Centrally located, catching a coffee here on your way to the Cathedral, University, or the Botanical Gardens is mighty convenient.

There are more tables to sit outside than inside. As you can tell by the photo, the menu is simple so they can concentrate on the quality of the coffee. Unfortunately we were unimpressed by the cappuccino drinks. The service is friendly and efficient. It seems to be a popular place as noted by the full inside and growing cue out the door. Pastry selection is cute with one gluten free option. I enjoy that the pastries are not too big. Just the right size to accompany the coffee.

Tucked in the ethnic food quarter in Malmö, this place is easy to miss, but it's actually just a short walk from Triangeln station. The decor is old fashioned, proven by the flowery curtains and the tartan patterned seatings and the marble tables but it does give the authencity feel, that you know they're making their pastry their old fashioned way, as your Scandinavian grandma would have made them. Price is on the fair side, but don't expect much of a service. The grandma that owns and serves the place can be rather grumpy as Richard S pointed out, so make sure you keep on eyes on the pastries only. Like in most places in Sweden, drinks (coffee and tea) are included, so this is definitely a good place to do your fika. As for the semla, they were good!
