It really takes a lot for me to actually write a poor review in life! (though this experience makes me realize I ought to take time out to write some for the many amazing businesses I've had the honor of giving business to over the years!) Really, this one frankly ought to be a one-star review, as my friends would say I'm being way too nice. ;) I'd say the two-stars is mostly only thanks to the initial gal Cara I had spoken with, as she seemed great and I'm sure what happened isn't her fault AT all, as she wasn't ever on the actual e-mail thread with the office assistant person. Ah also the very first person I ever spoke with when I had first called back in July (don't recall her name?) seemed SO sweet and kind, so I at least feel that's worth the additional star as well. Anyway since the bridal world can be a tender time of life, I almost feel a responsibility to simply forewarn anyone searching for 'hourly' booking options, etc. Based on how this business behaved (them offering the client an hourly service option, going through a pre-booking process that was certainly questionable at numerous points, although I somehow still was willing to move forward with them at the time), and then a month later at the eleventh hour receiving a perplexing e-mail from them, with a tone of condescension asking to make sure I understood that this would be charged as an hourly service--when quite literally, that was the entire thing we were booking them for initially, so what a strange question! Then at that point, me as the client having to 'read between the lines', to directly ask if they'd sent that e-mail because perhaps they'd changed their minds/didn't want to take me on as an hourly client after all? And only then them confirming that yes that is the case, as essentially I wasn't worth it to them, so they abruptly canceled the agreement we'd e-mailed about. (Which is hilarious that I would have ended up paying them so much more than I'd originally imagined due to the amount of hourly work I'd started to plan to utilize them for, and not to mention referring them to many friends in the future--but instead, of course now someone couldn't even pay me to give this place business, sadly.) Thanks to this company's truly surprising treatment of a prospective client, and wasting time for so many weeks, I will no longer even be getting married in the location originally imagined. Yup. It put such a bizarre damper on the whole entire experience, to the point of actually taking away my previous dreams of getting married in Mammoth for now. I have known Sandra for many years - almost a decade. I met her when I was in charge of planning a company's annual ski trip and she quickly became a priceless commodity to the process. We worked together on that project for several years, as our attendance grew from 200 to over 400 people, and each trip was better than the last. She really has a knack of reading people/vibes/situations/companies and providing exceptionally professional and fun service, no matter how ridiculous the ask or the occasion. She was amazingly creative and unflappably cool through each of the inevitable changes that come up in a process like that or hiccups that occurred (through no fault of hers) along the way and during the actual 3 day event. We worked together for the better part of 8 months to get each of these trips up and running. My weekly calls with her were easily the most calming and fun part my job during those months. After our first year of working with Sandra on this crazy corporate ski trip, I promised that when I got engaged, she would be the first person to know (after my mom) so that I could be sure to book her for my big day. Just 7 short years later, I came through with my promise. Getting back into the planning groove with Sandra was like catching up with an old friend who knows me very well. She remembered all my quirks and preferences from events past and had lots of new ideas for me too. After we had to cancel our October 2020 date, my husband and I decided on a 70 person wedding in our backyard in August 2021. Despite an untimely spike in Covid causing great worry and risk, Sandra kept us calm, working toward our goals, providing lots of suggestions and resolutions as things developed and changed. Our wedding was a beautiful smashing success... it was exactly the day and night that my husband and I had hoped for. This was due in no small part to the incredible talent that is Sandra D. of Green Fox Events. She worked well with each of our vendors, seamlessly handling every moving part leading up to the event, the day before, day of, and day after our wedding. My husband and I got to enjoy every single minute of our big day, knowing that every detail was being handled, just as I would have handled it myself. I worked with Cara to coordinate our wedding this past weekend - a great experience. We did the partial event management package so she was along with us for most of our wedding planning journey. I am extremely type A, so I wasn't sure how much I would need a planner throughout (versus just a day-of coordinator), but it paid off in the last few weeks when Cara already knew my vision and I didn't need to onboard someone new. I can't begin to express my gratitude for Sandra and the Green Fox team! My wedding was a couple of weeks ago, and Green Fox truly blew me away. One of my biggest concerns when I booked my venue was decor. I wasn't sure how I wanted the space decorated, who would be in charge of curating the space and ultimately where I would be getting decor rentals. Luckily, Green Fox does it all and in collaboration with the Mammoth team, my reception space was everything I had hope for and more. Greenfox was great! I booked them in August for my September wedding at McCoy Station in Mammoth Lakes. I was lucky enough that their entire inventory of 40 hurricane and taper candle holders were available. A white taper candle was included with the rental, although I wanted a specific color for my wedding. Since I brought my own taper candles, I inquired about a discount and they gave me $1 off each rental. I paid half of the invoice when I secured the date, and the other half was due one week before the wedding. I never received a notice/reminder/email that the second half of the invoice and final payment was due, so they reached out to me. Greenfox was located next to The Village (I believe they have since moved locations), and were going to charge a delivery and pick-up fee. I have to admit, the fee was pretty outrageous for a 5 mile drive and trip up the gondola- they were going to charge the same amount as the rental cost, doubling my cost. So with the help of my parents and their car, we scheduled to pick them up ourselves on Friday morning and drop them off Tuesday (they were closed Monday) to waive the fee and save some money. Picking up the candle rentals went smoothly- we had to schedule a specific time since someone is not in the office all the time. Dropping them off took slightly longer as they had to count each item to confirm we returned everything. It wasn't until they counted that I had learned my onsite wedding coordinator had broken one of the hurricane glasses during their clean up. Greenfox was really nice about it and said the onsite coordinator had contacted them already and was going to take care of it (aka pay for it). Overall, I am happy and pleased about my experience with Greenfox. read more

But their way of business is not professional in any way and they need to be better about accounting charges in their billing department. To get charged $1600, 3 days before the wedding after a revision, it blindsided us. It puts a lot of stress on the bride & groom right before the wedding. When they ask if we need any help to talk to our coordinator & Cara forwarded the same email we wrote, and we get charged $37 dollars for it, really? Talk about nickel and diming their brides. They are all about business & about their hourly rate and not a business that focuses on the bride. I didn't personally get to know them and was scared to call them because it was all about the charges in their eyes. Which made it stressful for me as a bride. We only had two $150 zoom meetings and they expect their bride to be in the loop of things. Don't call them for anything or email unless you want to be charged per encounter. They are not really wanting to be helpful, but rather look at how much they can make off their brides. read more

When we booked our venue in Mammoth Lakes back in October for August 2024 wedding, I wasn't sure how I was going to plan a wedding from 6 hours away. Hiring Green Fox Events was one of the best decisions we made and made the planning process so easy!! I worked with Callie directly during the entire planning process. She helped me create a design plan, timeline for the day and frequently met with me to discuss logistical issues. The week of the wedding when we realized the wedding day was going to be fifteen degrees colder than expected, she helped me with last minute heater rentals and setting up blanket baskets for guests. Callie and Jess worked our wedding in July 2021 and they were awesome, helpful, friendly and professional. I just needed help the week of with making sure the vendors were all good to go and that everything ran smoothly on the day of. We had a consultation over the phone and then I met them right before the rehearsal to walk through the wedding space and show them all the decorations that I would need them to setup the next day. They both had great inputs when we were rehearsing, set everything up beautifully, kept us on our timeline the whole day, we're super helpful during all the different stages of the day and packed all my decorations up and dropped them off after the wedding. When we started planning our wedding we knew we wanted to host it in Mammoth. We started by reaching out to Mammoth Mountain resort but their options weren't ideal and left us feeling lost and overwhelmed. Plus, planning a wedding in Mammoth while living and running a business in San Diego was not ideal. Enter Green Fox! I was delighted to find a local resource with such great reviews on Yelp. Our first experience was a phone call then a very low pressure site tour with Sandra. She was very up front about all costs and put my mind at ease immediately (I always thought wedding planners were for rich people ;)). She also let us take our dog with us on the site tour so we didn't have to leave him in the hotel which was a huge plus. After our first site tour we were sold and never looked back. Cara was our day-to-day contact and kept us on task and on schedule with all planning details. She completely got my (sometimes) off the wall ideas and was very accommodating on all of our trips up for meetings. I can't believe it took me this long to write a review. a long over due yet well deserved. Things always seem to move too fast, but Sandra deserves a great review Sandra was our go to when we were planning our wedding in Mammoth from Los Angeles. Her connections and creativity went ABOVE and BEYOND our expectations. It's always scary to engage in a service when you don't see the results until the day of. But her process leading up to our wedding day was bulletproof, she kept us in the loop along the way, always had a contingency plan in place should anything not go as expected. And if you know Mammoth, weather can sometimes be very unpredictable. To paint a picture of how well Sandra orchestrated our wedding. We had a grand plan of getting married at the top of Mammoth Mountain, (Plan A), weather forecast was perfect, it was a bluebird day! We had planned on having all our guest take a nice gondola ride to the top, it would've been an awesome experience for our guest, many of which have never seen snow, been at that elevation, and/or been on a gondola. Mother nature had other plans, she decided to deliver the biggest blizzard of the season and shut Plan A down. Audibles were called behind the scenes to figure out what to do to keep the day as magical as it ultimately ended up to be. While my wife and I were doing the typical wedding activities, in parallel, Sandra pulled all the strings she could to create an unparalleled experience nonetheless. Mammoth deemed it unsafe to use the gondola as it was WAY to windy, in fact Sandra got stuck on the gondola at the time Mammoth made the call, and if I remember correctly, she started executing her Plan B on the gondola while she was waiting for them to get her down. In any case she arranged us to get married at McCoy station, she was able to turn McCoy into something we would not have imagined McCoy could be. She arranged all our guest to be taxied to McCoy in Mammoth's luxury SnowCats, we had the ceremony in McCoy station, and then transitioned into at the time, a newly remodeled Parallax for the reception. Cara and Sandra were amazing. They were detailed, organized, thought about all this stuff i never would have thought about (and I'm a planner). rates were reasonable and great value. Rental linens were lovely, and the setup was amazing. Everyone could not say enough great stuff about how gorgeous the wedding was. It was a huge weight off me and my fmaily to have them there. When my significant other asked me to marry him, I didn't know if I wanted to have a wedding or not. We both grew up in Mammoth, so having a small, non-traditional wedding was a compromise we both agreed on. I had been in a wedding that Sandra coordinated, and I knew immediately that she was the woman for the job. Sandra and the Green Fox team were amazing. From day 1 of wedding planning, Sandra was on my side. She supported me, helped me solidify ideas, helped me trouble shoot, offered resources, and carried out my plans. Where do we even begin.... To start, having a destination wedding isn't easy...unless you have Green Fox. Sandra, Cara, and their team will go above and beyond for you. What ever you ask for, they deliver it and more. The coordinating, the details, the vendors, and so much more is handled with professionalism and class and yet they still make you feel like family. So just a little low down on our wedding weekend. We reserved Pokonobe Lodge for a "Welcome Dinner" the night before our wedding, where we had a taco truck and kayaks and standup paddle boards available for our guests to use on the lake. The next day, our ceremony was at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and our reception was at Hayden Cabin. It rained during our ceremony but cleared up in time for us to enjoy cocktail hour with our guests. When we were seated for dinner, it started pouring again! And we're talking cats and dogs. Did that stop the Green Fox crew? NO WAY!! While we and our guests had shelter and enjoyed our delicious dinner catered by BLEU, (best food in town, shout out to Brandon and Theresa) the Green Fox crew worked diligently to keep us dry. As they got soaked, their smiles never stopped and their desire to help never ceased. The moment the summer thunder storm cleared, Sandra and Cara had that dance floor dried and we were able to dance the night away with our guests. Mammoth has always been a special place to my wife and me. We felt we were taking a risk having a destination wedding, but we are so happy that we did. Not only was it the best, most memorable weekend of our lives, but our guests are still talking about it two years later! How it was the best wedding they've ever been to. And without a doubt, hands down, we owe that to Green Fox. We could never thank them enough. Like another reviewer said, I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My husband and I hired Sandra and Cara to help us plan our wedding in Bishop, and they were wonderful. - They are professional and detail oriented, and even better, so much fun and a total delight to work with. - We did consultation calls for a few months leading up to the wedding during which they gave us tons of excellent recommendations for vendors. Our florist made the most beautiful bouquet and center pieces. Our band was unbelievably good, turning the end of our reception into a dance party. All thanks to the GFE recommendations!!! - We changed our ceremony venue 2 days before the wedding due to cold weather in the mountains. I thought this was potentially going to be a disaster, but it was no big deal for GFE. All the vendors were in place, the ceremony was gorgeous, and everything went perfectly. - A week or so before the ceremony, we found out the PA system we'd rented for the ceremony didn't have a cordless mic. I was emailing back and forth with party supplier when he responded "Never mind! Sandra worked it out!" - We weren't planning to rent special linens for the reception, but GFE suggested some affordable rental options, so we were able to dress up the tables, and they looked amaaazing. - They took care of a million tiny details we would never have thought of. They came up with an open seating diagram for the reception, saved us appetizers to enjoy after the ceremony photos, made custom place cards for our late rsvp's, brought platters for our desserts, set up a pretty driving sign for the ceremony so our guests knew where to go, set up a bowl for gift cards at the reception, and on and on and on. I asked Sandra DiDomizio at Green Fox Events to be my wedding coordinator this past June. Sandra advised me completely through the planning stages of my wedding: resources, details to think about in regards to decorations, table settings, and event layout, which was held at The Double Eagle Spa & Resort in June Lake, CA. I loved working with Sandra and her creativity, energy, organization and follow-through. So well and thorough was her tutelage, that when the day of the wedding finally arrived, Green Fox Events pulled the day off without a hitch. My husband and I literally spent the entire day visiting with family and friends: the wedding was absolutely everything I had envisioned and more.
