From top to bottom, the property is stunning, brand new, beautifully decorated, and impeccably maintained. But what really set this stay apart was the out-of-this-world service. Thoughtful Accommodations & Extra Perks: We booked a 4-bed bunk room because, for some reason, it was the cheapest option, even though there were only two of us. At check-in, the front desk manager asked if it would be alright to swap us into a standard 2-bed room since they had larger parties arriving and could really use the bunk rooms. I had zero issues with it, but the manager still threw in a $50 property credit for the "inconvenience". Such an over-the-top, much-appreciated gesture! Combined with the $100 Chase Edit credit, we had $150 to use toward a delightful dinner at the restaurant. Unbeatable Location: The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the Village Gondola, making getting over to the slopes an absolute breeze. Next-Level Late Check-Out & Service: This completely sold me on the property. When checking in, we mentioned we were only staying a single night to board the next morning and would be driving out afterward. The manager totally understood the assignment: he immediately set a late check-out at 12:00 PM and even offered us access to the spa to freshen up if we got back later than that. The next morning, I stopped by the desk just to confirm the timing so housekeeping wouldn't clean our rooms before we returned, and the morning manager extended it to 1:00 PM! That extra cushion allowed us to board all morning, grab lunch, come back, shower, pack up, and head out completely stress-free. The entire staff was outstanding. The Valet Mix-Up (with a Silver Lining): This could have gone either way, but it ended with a laugh. When we arrived, valet grabbed our bags, told us to leave the keys in the car, and said they'd take care of it. I didn't think much of it until checkout when I realized I never got a valet ticket. When I mentioned it, the attendant explained they had forgotten to log the name for the car the night before, so they had no idea who it belonged to and just kept it up front for safekeeping. A little scary thinking our car was just sitting there (though it was a rental, so whatever!), but when I tried to pay for parking at checkout, the charge wasn't on our room. They just brushed it off and let us go without charging us for overnight parking. The Verdict: The rooms are modern, fresh, and exceptionally comfortable. Between the gorgeous new property, the incredible staff, and service that goes above and beyond, I will 100% be back this season!

My wife and I recently did a short trip to Mammoth Lakes region and we stayed at Limelight Mammoth…read more First thing to say, I can't comment on the price, my wife booked it and I think using her AMEX card she was able to redeem some credit towards a stay. I probably didn't cover everything, but it certainly helped guide our decision making and it was a good experience. Limelight Mammoth seems to be a pretty high end resort, their hotel is also connected to residences where people stay long-term. The rooms are nice and spacious. I can't speak to some of their amentities (e.g. pool or fitness center), but they did have some features: - They had some sort of partnership with Therabody (the company that makes Theragun and other personal massage products), you can check those out for a couple hours at a time based on availability. We tried some of those products, especially after a longer day of hiking and that was nice. - When we were there, there was a promotion to be able to test drive an Audi SUV, you have to schedule a little in advance, so we didn't take them up on it. - They had breakfast included which was very well done and much more than a continental breakfast. - The property was very good friendly which was an important because our dog travels with us most of the time. Dogs couldn't be in the main dining area of the restaurant but dogs could be out on their patio area which had tables, chairs, couches, loung chairs and firepits. Their parking was all valet, there was a crew of people who always seemed busy dropping off or returning peoples' vehicles. One special benefit was they have EV charging onsite for no additonal charge. When EV charging was available, that really helped us as we drove all around the area without charging hesitancy. At different times of the day the valet can be busy, so be prepared for a wait at different times of the day. We tried their restaurant one evening, also because our reservation came with some credit to be used at the restaraunt. I tried of their fried chicken sandwiches and we had a couple glasses of wine.. good wine selection. We were there in late June, which seemed like an "offpeak" time of the year. There were people but the area didn't seem as super-busy and crowded as it might be during the winter time/ski or boarding season. Limelight seems in a good location for us to get around where we needed to by car, there were also different resort restaurant/shopping areas within walking distance which again didn't feel super busy in Late June and had some good places to watch a World Cup Match. This trip was our first time in the Mammoth Lakes area, and we seemed to like it better than Lake Tahoe in the summer. We did some hiking and exploring and only scratched the surface so maybe we'll come down again sometime and if we do, we'll see what's available at Limelight.

The one thing that I did…read morenot like was that The top drawer of our dresser had remnants of possible cookies or crackers and looks like dried up cheese. The management didn't seem to understand what we were explaining when we mentioned this to them. I am really glad that I know enough Spanish that I was able to communicate with some of their housekeeping staff. We asked them for wipes, but also for any kind of handheld vacuum cleaner that might've been small enough to put into that dresser drawer so that it could suck up all of the crumbs and dried up food that was left behind in that drawer. One of the housekeeping ladies came in and simply brought in a damp rag. The one who came in just before her, they said they didn't see anything in the drawer at all. Ummm, strange! Even with my bad eyesight, I could see the little bits and pieces of things that the rest of my family was talking about. One of the really cute and very pleasant things about this particular hotel is that they offer s'mores kits. Each person can go ahead and request a small s'mores kit. It comes complete with the chocolate marshmallows, graham crackers, and skewer that you need to assemble your ooey gooey treat. One of the nights that we were staying at the hotel, we only requested skewers. I am sure the lady at the front desk wondered why. That particular night, my kiddo and their father ended up cooking some little Smokies out on the fire instead of s'mores. That was fun. Throughout the day, you were welcome to go into their lobby area. That's where they have hot water for hot chocolate and tea as well as coffee. You're more than able to help yourself. I stopped in twice for whatever reason, the water, although it was in a hot water, dispenser, it was not hot. Bummer!! Parking was one of the easiest things here. There were plenty of handicap parking spots. Also, the entrance to the lobby or reception area is very close to those spots. They have a heated pool. It is open until 10 PM. It gets pretty chilly at night. This is a very nice centrally located property. Anna was the nice lady who checked us in. She was super helpful.
