Ed is amazing with irrigation systems. Our first installer did a very poor job, and he gave us the run around. I contacted Ed to evaluate our system. He noted all the issues that we thought were a problem. He made sure the repairs were done correctly and he was very honest about the cost. His customer service was top notch, and I trusted him to make the repairs. This company is unorganized, unsafe, unprofessional, not skilled in this trade, and most importantly unprofessional. Count me among the people who will NEVER call Green Grass Lawn & Sprinklers again. I hired them last year to shut down my irrigation system in the fall. No problem, it wasn't too expensive and their work was acceptable. Then this spring they contacted me for startup, and there definitely was a problem. Their guy moved two sprinkler heads 6 inches each, glued two pieces of PVC together, and turned on the system. He then graciously volunteered to drive ONE SCREW into my garage wall to anchor my control box for "only $25" (I declined). Total charges? Over $370!!! He also made an excuse to make two trips so he could charge me for both, which is one of their favorite maneuvers. Needless to say, I'm no longer doing business with them. I'm not about to be fooled twice. They are also almost impossible to get rid of once they've done work at your house. They set up automatic appointments by email and will pester you half to death. About the only way to get rid of them is to do what I did--send them a certified letter telling them that no future work is authorized. Whatever you do, don't sign a contract with them (their contracts reportedly auto-renew) and don't hire them to do work for you. You'll likely regret it. Well, I can tell you this- they damaged my mothers roses, shrubs, ferns, and other plants. Not sure if they will survive they are turning brown and dying more and more as each day passes. They sprayed in places they weren't supposed to like all over my 85 yr old father vegetable garden and killed 90% of it and the berry patch that is no where near the west side of the back yard where the clover patch is. Called the next morning after Kris came and treated the clover. Told my 85 year old father to 'go water you garden' and 'the treatment I put on your yard would ONLY kill clover, nothing else" Well Kris, I got news for you- the clover is thriving and growing like a weed. Took 3 days for Kris to look and see all the devastation- 3 days! Said- we normal just replace the damaged plants. Not good enough, planting garden is over, it's harvesting time. And still haven't heard a peep from the owner. He apologized to my father and to me, I replied "don't forget about those shrubs, the flowers, the raspberries and blackberries. Said he'd take it to the boss man and get back with us. Nothing, no one has called, emailed or come on property to speak with us. I've gone on line to company's web site, left 3 messages to contact us. Still nothing. You would think an owner would be contacting his unhappy customer ASAP. And when I looked at the contract my father signed, they are trying to charge him for services he didn't want or ask for! He told them he would do his own mowing and maintenance. He ONLY wanted them to seed, feed and treat the clover. My mother and father are sick at the sight of devastation and the lack of concern from GGLS. Until this company compensates my father to make him 'whole'~ I have nothing good to say about this company, the owner or employees. I will not let this go- ever, until Green Grass Lawn makes this right. UPDATE: This afternoon, the owner called and made a time to come out and see the yard and garden. Avoid Green Grass Sprinklers like the plague. We had them several years ago and weren't happy with the service so dropped them and got a new company last year Go Grass. Well, last year, Green Grass calls for a sprinkler blowout and I didn't realize it was NOT our company (we pay for a package deal that includes it). We don't realize it until they are trying to get $85 from us for this service. We chalk it up to mostly our mistake and moved on after telling them not to contact us again. This year, Green Grass calls again, I ask if we have a current package with them, they say yes. I ask if the blowout is part of the service we'd paid for, he "checks" his paperwork and confirms it. We set up the appointment and turns out, NOT our company again. When I confronted him about the confusion in names and the fact that he presented himself as being the company that had our package, he said "well, you confirmed the appointment." Expensive lesson that when a company calls, mumbling their name, and even when you think you've asked all the right questions, they're clearly out to screw you. read more

NO! They are batting a thousand in the review department. Consistency here - all one star reviews. Never returned calls. Business must be good. Web site says they strive for customer service. Service was fine, and that's the best I can say for this company. They were paid in full at the time of service, and did not track payment. They billed me for service after I paid, and when I contacted them, they acknowledged their error. Many months later, they started harassing me again to pay. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, and the customer pays the price. Twice. read more

We contracted with them to do backflow testing and snow removal. They sent two guys who didn't even work for their company to do the backflow testing. They couldn't figure out how to do the backflow testing. I had to hire and pay someone else. The snow removal was okay at best. They took all day to get to our property and I had to call them several times to get them to show up. I thought I was paying money to avoid this problem. I let them know that I was unhappy with their service and that we would not be signing another contract. I was not told that this had to be in writing otherwise they "auto renew" the contract. Yep, that is correct. I am now being billed for cancelling a contract that I didn't agree to in the first place. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. Judging by the other reviews, everyone else has had the same experience as my company. read more

This company did a snow removal job without checking with us, or getting authorization. I was out $500 for a service that I did not agree to. I ended up paying it because I didn't want to be turned into to collections. DO NOT use this company unless you want to pay for services you do not authorize! read more

Most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Eric the owner makes up bills and services. If they show up to mow my lawn, they miss spots on my 1/3 if an acre lawn. Notice I said if because they just skip weeks. Not sure how you miss a spot on a plot of land that small either. God knows I am not going to get a refund for the weeks missed. They put down "fertilizer" and a couple months later, I had to go to Home Depot because of all the clovers. They're impossible to get in contact with so be prepared to be SOL. read more

Good luck trying to fire this company for ruining your flower beds. After they completely destroyed the majority of my perennials and chopped down my azalea bushes and a snowball bush, I fired them. That was 2 years ago, and they continue to bill me. I paid over $5,000 to have them destroy my yard, and the thanks I get is they keep billing me for money I don't owe.
